A generator comprising at least one annular stator, the annular stator comprising: an annular plate having an inner circumference and an outer circumference with a series of hollow bosses projecting from a first planar surface of the plate and arranged within and around the outer circumference; and a plurality of coils each located so that a portion is around an associated boss; wherein each hollow boss has an associated recess in a second planar surface of the plate; wherein the generator is constructed and arranged such that the recesses of the hollow bosses are receptive to the induction and passage of cooling fluid in and around the recess.
ELECTRIC TRANSMISSION FOR AN ELECTRIC LAWNMOWER
An electric transmission for an electric lawnmower is disclosed. The electric transmission is adapted to operatively connect to a plurality of wheels for driving the electric lawnmower over a ground surface. The electric transmission includes an electric motor and a housing encasing the electric motor. The housing includes a cylindrical body defining a chamber for receiving the electric motor, an inlet conduit, and an outlet conduit. The inlet conduit is connected to the cylindrical body and extends outwardly from the cylindrical body to facilitate a flow of air inside the chamber. The outlet conduit is disposed spaced apart from the inlet conduit. Further, the outlet conduit is connected to the cylindrical body and extends outwardly from the cylindrical body to facilitate an exit of air from the chamber to an ambient.
COOLING SYSTEM FOR TAIL CONE MOUNTED GENERATOR
An engine system includes an engine duct and a tail cone arranged radially inwardly of the engine duct. The tail cone has an outer surface and an inner surface. A generator housing is arranged in the tail cone. The generator housing includes an outer surface portion spaced from the inner surface of the tail cone. A generator is mounted in the generator housing. An air duct extends from the generator, through the generator housing, through the tail cone, and through the engine duct. The air duct includes an opening exposed to an air stream passing over the engine duct.
Integrated multimode thermal energy transfer system, method and apparatus for clean fuel electric multirotor aircraft
An integrated multimode thermal energy transfer system, method and apparatus for full-scale clean fuel electric-powered multirotor aircraft with automatic on-board-capability to provide sensor-based temperature awareness and adjustment to critical components and zones of the aircraft. Automatic computer monitoring, including by a programmed triple-redundant digital autopilot computer, controls each motor-controller and motor to produce pitch, bank, yaw and elevation, while simultaneously measuring, calculating, and adjusting temperature and heat transfer of aircraft components and zones, to protect critical components from exceeding operating parameters and to provide a safe, comfortable environment for occupants during flight. By using the results of the measurements to inform computer monitoring, the methods and systems can use byproducts including thermal energy disparities and differentials related to both fuel supply systems and power generating systems to both add and remove heat from different aircraft zones to improve aircraft function, comfort, and efficiency.
Motor control apparatus and image forming apparatus
A motor control apparatus excites an excitation phase targeted for excitation among a plurality of excitation phases of a motor. The motor control apparatus, in a state in which a rotor of the motor is stopped, excites an excitation phase corresponding to a stop position of the rotor among the plurality of the excitation phases, and measures a physical quantity which changes in accordance with an inductance of at least one of a plurality of coils configuring the plurality of excitation phases. The motor control apparatus estimates a temperature of the rotor from a measurement value of the measured physical quantity, and decides a parameter value for control of the motor based on the estimated temperature.
