ELECTRIC MOTORS
An electric motor has a stator defining multiple stator poles with associated electrical windings, and a rotor having multiple rotor poles. The rotor has flux barriers between adjacent rotor poles, the flux barriers each having a material with an electrical conductivity higher than the rotor pole material. The flux barriers are electrically isolated from one another external to the ferromagnetic material. Eddy currents are induced in the flux barrier to cause destructive interference of an impending magnetic field, such that the flux barrier effectively acts to inhibit magnetic flux during motor operation, which in some cases will result in a repulsive force that will act to increase an induced motive force on the rotor poles.

CONNECTION ASSEMBLY COVER WITH INTEGRATED ANTI-ROTATION
A resistor pack assembly including an anti-rotation housing. The anti-rotation housing includes a first surface, a second surface opposite the first surface, one or more anti-rotation lugs extending away from the first surface, and an internal cavity extending from the second surface into the anti-rotation housing towards the first surface. The resistor pack assembly also including a positive rail located at least partially within the internal cavity, a negative rail having an inner circular face and an outer circular face located radially outward from the inner circular face, and an insulator ring is interposed between the second surface of the anti-rotation housing and the outer circular face of the negative rail.
Electric motor with harmonic shunting
Disclosed is a hermetic AC electric motor that includes harmonics shunting such that high frequency harmonics are shunted from the AC electric motor without the use of one or more high frequency filters in the associated motor drive. A related method of operating an AC electric motor includes shunting high frequency harmonics to a fluid passing through the AC electric motor. Also disclosed is a simplified variable speed motor drive system which eliminates the need for a filter for removing high frequency harmonics.

Magnet motor with electromagnetic drive
An electromagnetic rotating motor system that comprise of a grooved wheel with one or more permanent magnets tangentially embedded in a horse-shoe pattern within the groove around the wheel rim with similar poles pointing in the same direction and wherein induction coils or electromagnets are positioned to fit tangentially between the permanent magnet(s) in the groove with the pole axis of the electromagnet parallel to that of the permanent magnets and with the coiling and powering made such that it generates magnetic poles that are similarly aligned to the poles of the permanent magnets such that when current is passed through the coil, the poles of the electromagnet and the permanent magnet repel each other forcing the wheel holding the magnets to rotate away from the coil.
