Permanent magnet machine for integrated starter generator
An integrated starter-generator (ISG) system includes a flux-regulated permanent magnet machine (PMM), a wound-field synchronous machine, and a control coil controller. The flux-regulated PMM includes a stationary portion having a control coil and a plurality of permanent magnets, and a rotating portion that includes rotating armature windings. The wound-field synchronous machine includes a stationary portion that includes a main armature winding and a rotating portion that includes a main field winding that receives excitation from the flux-regulated PMM. The control coil controller controls current supplied to the control coil of the flux-regulated PMM to selectively control magnetic flux presented to the rotating armature windings.
MOTOR CONTROLLER
An electronic control unit includes two inverters, a magnetic sensor, a failure detection unit, an inverter driving unit, a signal examination unit, and a failed element identification unit. The magnetic sensor detects a magnetic flux generated around a winding. The failure detection unit detects an ON-state failure of the inverter. When the ON-state failure is detected, the inverter driving unit stops driving the inverter to which the ON-state failure has been detected, and continues driving the other inverter. The signal examination unit examines a presence or absence of a special signal. When there is a signal appearing according to a special magnetic flux, the failed element identification unit identifies a failed switching element based on a motor electric angle generated by the signal.
BRUSHLESS DC MOTOR POWER TOOL WITH COMBINED PCB DESIGN
A power tool with a combined printed circuit board (PCB) that reduces internal wiring of the power tool and provides a large amount of air flow to internal components. In some instances, the combined PCB has a surfboard shape and includes a motor control unit and power switching elements (Field Effect Transistors or FETs). The combined surfboard PCB is located above the trigger, but below the motor and drive mechanism. In other instances, the combined PCB has a doughnut shape and is located coaxially with a motor shaft. The combined PCB may be positioned between a doughnut-shaped control PCB and the motor.
Magnetically reconfigurable robot joint motor
A magnetically reconfigurable robot joint motor includes a coil stator, a permanent magnet rotor and a magnetic reconfiguration unit. The magnetic reconfiguration unit is arranged around an outer periphery of the permanent magnet rotor, and a coil connected to a control circuit is wound on an outer layer of the magnetic reconfiguration unit. When it is necessary to execute low rotation speed or zero rotation speed operating conditions, the control circuit inputs current pulses of different strengths, so that the magnetic reconfiguration unit obtains permanent magnetization of corresponding degree, and generates a magnetic field which acts together with a magnetic field of the permanent magnet rotor, so as to maintain a torque required for output.
Field-winding-type rotating electric machine
In a rotating electric machine, a stator includes a stator winding, a field winding includes a series-connection body including a plurality of winding portions, and a rotor includes main pole portions protruding from a rotor core in a radial direction. A harmonic current for inducing a field current in the field winding flows to the stator winding. A rectifying element is connected in series to the field winding, configures a closed circuit with the field winding, and rectifies the field current that flows to the field winding to flow in one direction. In a capacitor, a first end is connected to a connection point between adjacent winding portions and a second end is connected to either of both ends of the rectifying element. A partitioning portion is disposed between at least a single set of adjacent winding portions among the plurality of winding portions and includes a magnetic material.
HYBRID PERMANENT MAGNET AND WOUND ROTOR STARTER GENERATOR
Described is a hybrid permanent magnet and wire wound starter generator system. The system includes a polyphase stator that converts a rotating magnetic field to electrical energy. The system also includes a rotor including a plurality of permanent magnets and a wound rotor section. The plurality of permanent magnets and the wound rotor section each generate a portion of the rotating magnetic field. Further, the system includes a controller that controls a polarity of the wound rotor section by transitioning the wound rotor section between a magnetic flux enhancement mode and a magnetic flux weakening mode.
DEVICE CAPABLE OF CONTROLLING MAGNETIC ACTION, ELECTRIC GENERATOR USING SAME, AND PART FOR SAME
The purpose of the present invention is to provide an electric generator which allows the magnitude of mutual magnetic action between a rotor and an armature to be self-adjusted in the electric generator against a fluctuation in a motive power or a fluctuation in an electric load, such that the magnitude of an induced electromotive force is controlled to compensate, with voltage variation, for amounts of the fluctuation in the motive power and the fluctuation in the electric load and to induce electricity with a uniform frequency from the electric generator, while stabilizing the prime mover or load devices, and parts optimized for the same. To this end, the present invention has an iron-piece structure in which the rotor and the armature of the electric generator mutually correspond to each other in a concave-convex structure, and the present invention is configured to be able to control the magnitude of the induced electromotive force, as the armature moves in the axial direction in response to a change in the rotation speed, output voltage, or frequency of the electric generator and, thereby, variably controls a mutually corresponding length of the concave-convex structure.
