Assisted racking of digital resistance includes detecting a state of a cable. A motor is mechanically coupled to the cable to provide resistance during an exercise by tensioning the cable. It further includes determining completion of the exercise based at least in part on the detected state of the cable. It further includes selectively removing resistance from the cable based at least in part on the determination that the user has completed the exercise.

The present invention relates to a system for controlling rotational speed on a rotating process machine, which for example is a turbine or a propeller, where the rotating process machine is connected to at least one motor and arranged to rotate with a given rotational speed given by the motor, the motor is connected to a control system and the rotational speed of the motor is arranged to be controlled by a control system. The rotating process machine comprises a load control arranged to be adaptable, the control system is connected to the rotating process machine. With the invention, one achieves soft transitions between several selectable rotational speeds and lower energy consumption by step by step adjusting the size and the rotational speed of the motor to varying energy requirement.

MOTOR DRIVING SYSTEM

In a motor driving system, a motor driving system is provided which simplifies the system by ceasing ON/OFF control of a commercial driving command, and by performing commercial synchronous transfer and capture control based on a drive speed reference. A system controller performs synchronization control so as to make a drive output coincident with a phase/amplitude of a commercial AC power source when a rotation speed of a motor exceeds a drive speed reference n2, and when a prescribed requirement is satisfied, the commercial AC power source is synchronously transferred, and the motor is driven by the commercial AC power source. In addition, when the drive speed reference is set to n1, and a drive output side switch is closed, the drive output is connected to the commercial AC power source, and when a prescribed requirement is satisfied, the motor is started to be driven at a variable speed (t7), and thereby the synchronous capture is performed.

WASHING MACHINE

A washing machine including a rotary drum that is rotatable, and into which laundry is loadable; a motor configured to rotate the rotary drum; and a controller configured to perform startup control to initiate rotation of the rotary drum, the startup control including a first process for controlling the motor so that torque for rotating the rotary drum in a first rotation direction is applied to the rotary drum; and a second process for controlling the motor so that, after the first process is initiated, and when a rotational acceleration of the rotary drum is less than or equal to a first predefined threshold before a rotation velocity of the rotary drum reaches a first rotation velocity, torque for rotating the rotary drum in reverse is applied to the rotary drum.
