Method and device for delivery of a solution into a body orifice
A diffusing applicator is provided and generally includes a head unit, and extension shaft, and a dispensing device. The head unit includes a fluid receiving space and a plurality of dispensing passageways in communication the fluid receiving space. The extension shaft is securely connected to head unit. The dispensing device holds a fluid and is connected to the extension shaft. The dispensing device is in communication with the plurality of dispensing passageways.
Pain Reducing Anesthetic Cooling Device
The pain reducing anesthetic cooling device of the invention reduces pain and minimizes the anxiety often associated with needle injection procedures in both children and adults. The invention reduces pain by precisely anesthetizing a targeted area in a manner that prevents cooling excessive areas of the skin, targets the injection site with a temporary skin impression as a guide for needle injection placement, and makes it easy for medical staff, home care givers or the patient to use and store the device. Additional features of the invention include removable toys, spinning elements and sound and light features to distract and engage the patient. Additionally, the cooling solution may contain colorants such as dyes and particulate additives such as glitter to increase the visual appeal of the device.
Syringe holder for use in anesthesiology
A syringe holder includes a syringe barrel holder having a depression which is configured to receive and engage finger tabs of a syringe and has a bottom depression surface engageable by the finger tabs. A barrel opening receives a barrel of the syringe, and includes a central longitudinal axis, a shaft channel and a set screw channel having a screw axis passing through the shaft channel. A dosing shaft extends from a first end to a second end and includes a plurality of notches between the ends. The dosing shaft is located and slideable within the shaft channel. A plunger cap includes a plunger receptacle and attaches to a first end of the dosing shaft. A socket set screw is located and engaged within the set screw channel and has a resilient end engageable with the notches of the dosing shaft.
MULTI-ARM ROBOTIC SYSTEM ENABLING MULTIPORTAL ENDOSCOPIC SURGERY
A system for endoscopic surgery, comprising a first robotic arm defining the pose of an endoscopic camera, a second robotic arm defining the pose of a surgical end effector, and an irrigation nozzle configured to inject fluid under a predetermined pressure into a preselected tissue region, to generate a cavity at a surgical site. The cavity enables the camera to take images of the features of the surgical site. A controller is used to control both robotic arms, such that the pose of the endoscopic camera and the pose of the surgical end effector are known to the controller. The camera can then acquire intraoperative images of the cavity, such that an endoscopic operation can be performed in the cavity with the surgical end effector guided using the intraoperative images. Anatomic features imaged intraoperatively by the camera can be identified from preoperative images, using image registration.
Device for performing regional anesthesia
An anesthetic administration device comprising an infusion device, which is in fluid connection with a regional anesthetic needle by means of a feed tube. The infusion device comprises one or more anesthetic flow devices capable of triggering forward flow, and optionally backward flow, of the local anesthetic through the regional anesthetic needle. Forward, and optionally backward flow, of the local anesthetic through the regional anesthetic needle is controlled by a controller that comprises one or more actuator switches. The one or more actuator switches are positioned on the device 1 such that they may be operated by hand.
Anesthesia machine
A display device of an anesthesia machine which is communicable with at least one syringe pump that is an external apparatus displays an anesthesia information display screen. When a call switch is operated, a syringe pump information display screen indicating operation information of the syringe pump is displayed on the display device, in addition to the anesthesia information display screen.
Endoscopic sympathectomy systems and methods
A system for controlled sympathectomy procedures is disclosed. A system for controlled micro ablation procedures is disclosed. Methods for performing a controlled surgical procedure are disclosed. A system for performing controlled surgical procedures in a minimally invasive manner is disclosed. An implantable device for monitoring and/or performing a neuromodulation procedure is disclosed.
RELOCATION MODULE AND METHODS FOR SURGICAL EQUIPMENT
Module for housing electronic and electromechanical medical equipment including a portable digital camera and processing circuitry with machine vision and machine learning software for automatically documenting healthcare events and healthcare equipment operations in the electronic health record.
MATERIALS AND METHODS FOR TREATING NEUROPATHIES AND RELATED DISORDERS INCLUDING THOSE INVOLVING A KEYSTONE NERVE
Methods, apparatus, compositions and kits for inhibiting a disorder in a human patient, including non-cerebral neurovascular disorder or muscular headache pain, or loss of motor or sensory function, sympathetic tone or range or fluidity of motion that affect a nerve pathway at more than one locus associated with the disorder to inhibit the disorder. Alternatively or in addition, neuropathy associated with a disorder is treatable by palpating to determine a Keystone nerve essential to the neuropathy, applying pressure to determine a point of maximum discomfort or trigger of increased symptoms to identify a Levin Sign as a locus of initial intervention, and intervening to treat the neuropathy at the location of the Levin Sign by administering a pharmaceutically active agent, internal implanted or external neuro stimulation affecting the nerve pathway to inhibit the neuropathy.
