Multimodal device for transdermal treatments
The present invention includes an apparatus for transdermal treatments comprising: an openable enclosure for a subject in communication with three or more sources of treatment modalities selected from: a source of ozone; a source of steam, a source of CO.sub.2/Carbonic Acid; a source of Far Infrared; and a source of pulsed electromagnetic fields (PEMF), wherein each of the three or more sources is in communication with an interior of the openable enclosure to treat the subject transdermally.
Weighted Blanket with Far Infrared (FIR) Emitters and EMF Shielding
Provided are a weighted blanket and method of manufacturing. The weighted blanket has a laminated structure comprising: a bottom sheet; a top sheet having electromagnetic field (EMF) shielding embedded therein; a batting layer between the sheets; and Far-Infrared-emitting bioceramic beads. The blanket is quilted to retain the beads in quilted pockets. The blanket provides FIR emissions to the user, while protecting them from external EMF.
Infant warming system having ECG monitor and method for providing resuscitation assistance
An infant warming system includes a frame structure, a platform for supporting an infant that is connected to the frame structure, a radiant warmer supported on the frame structure above the platform, an ECG connection port configured to connect to ECG electrodes, and an ECG monitor housed on the frame structure, the ECG monitor receiving cardiac potentials from the ECG electrodes connected to the infant. The infant warming system further includes a control system configured to process the cardiac potentials to detect each heart beat of the infant, calculate a heart rate for the infant based on a detected heart beats, and display the heart rate on a display device associated with the infant warming system.
APPLICATION OF NANOPARTICLES TO TREAT INFECTIONS IN THE RESPIRATORY TRACT
A method of using nanoparticle (NP) spray to treat an infection in the respiratory system and far infrared radiation (FIR) to treat inflammation. The method uses a spray probe inserted into the airway of a patient to apply mSiO.sub.2 and FIR to a target site in the upper respiratory tract. FIR applied may be in the 3-10 μm range. The mSiO.sub.2 spray kills any organisms, including COVID-19 and FIR reduces inflammation resulting from infection. The treatment may be applied to intubated or spontaneously breathing patients and via the oral or nasal passages.
JOINT CAPSULE FLUID DELIVERY
An external medical device includes a fluid inlet, an inlet valve in fluid communication with the fluid inlet to control fluid flow through the fluid inlet in response to fluid inlet control signals, a fluid outlet in fluid communication with a fluid reservoir, a fluid pump configured to deliver a therapeutic fluid from the fluid reservoir through the fluid outlet in response to fluid outlet control signals, a fluid sensor configured to monitor the therapeutic fluid between the fluid pump and the fluid outlet and further configured to output sensor data corresponding to a monitored condition of the therapeutic fluid, and a control module configured to receive the sensor data and output, based on the sensor data, the fluid inlet control signals to the inlet valve and the fluid outlet control signals to the fluid pump.
OXYTOCIN RELEASE STIMULATION
The present invention relates to an oxytocin release stimulation device (10) that can be arranged at or close to skin of a user (40). The oxytocin release stimulation device (10) comprises a lighting unit (14) and a control unit (16). The control unit (16) controls the lighting unit (14) such that the lighting unit (14) provides light with specific wavelengths and radiant exposures to the skin of the user (40) for a duration that ensures stimulation of a release of oxytocin. Release of oxytocin allows to stimulate a milk ejection reflex and thus to support milk extraction, e.g. when the oxytocin release stimulation device (10) is used with a breast pump (100). The oxytocin release stimulation device (10) can furthermore allow to reach an oxytocin level during pregnancy that allows to reduce the risk of postpartum depression or that allows to facilitate induction of labor.
ANTIMICROBIAL PHOTOSENSITIZER COMPOSITION AND METHOD
An antimicrobial photosensitive composition for treating dermatological infections comprising an inula viscosa extract and a pharmaceutically acceptable vehicle. The inula viscosa extract acts as a naturally-derived antimicrobial and a photosensitizer, and is capable of treating antimicrobial infections in combination with photodynamic therapy. The present composition can be used for treating onychomycosis. Also described is a photodynamic method for treating a microbial infection comprising applying a photo-sensitizer composition to a site of microbial infection and exposing the site of microbial infection to light having a wavelength in the waveband of absorption of the photosensitizer.
LEG CARE APPARATUS
A leg care apparatus includes a main body configured to provide an action space in which a leg is accommodated and an atomizer configured to provide mist to the action space so as to care the leg disposed in the action space.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR TREATING SUBJECTS
One aspect of the present disclosure is directed to a device for providing light to the surface of a subject, comprising an array of a plurality of light emitting modules, wherein the plurality comprises four light emitting modules, each module of the plurality is flexibly connected to another module of the plurality, and two of the modules of the plurality comprise a polygonal perimeter having 4, 5, or 6 major sides, a light source, and a longest apex-to-apex dimension for a module of 5-50 millimeters, and, optionally, a non-adherent member configured to be adjacent to the subject.
Joint capsule fluid delivery device
