09814853 · 2017-11-14 · ·

An airway stabilization system attachable to any airway device to maintain an airway in a patient and which prevents clinically significant movement of the airway device with respect to the patient's vocal cords in response to the application of significant forces in any direction to the device, be they longitudinal, torsional/rotational or bending. The system includes an improved airway device and an improved securing device having interactive components that cooperate integrally with and engage one another to provide unparalleled strength and stability against movement. The securing device includes a unique stabilizer configured to releaseably engage a retention structure on the airway device with a simple twist. A connector device connects the system to a source of ventilatory air without constricting the airway device.

The pump mechanism includes a vacuum chamber in fluid communication with the canister; a piston disposed in the vacuum chamber; and a pump handle coupled to the piston to move the piston in the vacuum chamber between first and second positions to create the vacuum. The pump handle moving between a retracted position and an extended position. The piston is in the first position when said pump handle is in the retracted position and is in the second position when said pump handle is in the extended position.

MEDICINE DISPENSING DEVICE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME

A device according to one aspect of the present invention is an intranasal powdered medicine dispensing device (10) for dispensing a predetermined dose of a powdered medicine into a nasal cavity. The device includes a nozzle member (20) that includes a filling space (22) for a powdered medicine (M) and an ejection opening (26) for the powdered medicine (M), a closing member that closes the ejection opening (26), a sealing member (40) that seals an opening (24) of the filling space (22), an injection pump member (50) that sends out air, as the injection pump member contracts, to eject the powdered medicine from the ejection opening (26), a puncturing member (60) that moves, as the injection pump member (50) contracts, and forms a hole by puncturing in the sealing member (40) while moving, and a guide member (70) that restricts the puncturing member (60) from moving in a direction perpendicular to the direction of the movement thereof.

ASSEMBLY FOR DISPENSING A FLUID PRODUCT
20210369992 · 2021-12-02 · ·

A fluid dispenser assembly having a nasal fluid dispenser device (1000) with a reservoir (30) and, a dispenser head (1) assembled on the reservoir (30); a remote mobile device (2000); and an orientation sensor (113) to obtain optimal orientation of the dispenser device (1000) when actuated. The sensor determines the three-dimensional orientation of the device, including the angle (α) of the device relative to said remote mobile device. A second sensor (121) is provided for detecting when the device (1000) is actuated by the user. The remote mobile device includes an accelerometer to determine its position in three-dimensional space, in particular the angle (β) of the remote mobile device (2000) relative to the vertical.

FEEDING TUBE WITH INTEGRATED STYLET
20220202653 · 2022-06-30 ·

A feeding tube with an integrated stylet, for use in less invasive surfactant therapy (LIST) procedures with pre-term infants, has a flexible feeding tube with distal and proximal ends and an adapter at the proximal end. A stylet with distal and proximal ends is positioned within the feeding tube and has an anchor at the proximal end. The anchor is configured to seat within the adapter to prevent the anchor from entering the feeding tube and has one or more channels extending through the anchor to permit fluid to flow from the adapter through the channels and through the feeding tube with the anchor remaining seated within the adapter.

NEGATIVE-PRESSURE SOURCE WITH SERVICE TIMER

An apparatus for providing negative-pressure therapy may comprise a negative-pressure chamber and a pneumatically-actuated service timer, which can be used to indicate an expiration or other service condition of the apparatus. The apparatus may further comprise an actuator operable to engage a timer fluid with a migration medium. The timer fluid and the migration medium may be selected so that migration time through the migration medium corresponds to an expiration condition of the apparatus. The timer may also provide indicia of migration progress or termination.

The present invention relates to an electrically operable resuscitation device comprising a piston/cylinder assembly including a rigid cylinder including at least one gas inlet and at least one gas outlet, a piston to travel in said cylinder, and at least one valve, the or each valve configured to allow gas to be displaced into said cylinder through said at least one gas inlet during at least one of a first stroke direction and second stroke direction of said piston in said cylinder, and for allowing gas to displaced through said at least one gas outlet during an opposite of said at least one of the first stroke direction and second stroke direction of said piston in said cylinder; a motor, selected from one of a stepper motor and feedback motor and stepper motor with feedback and linear motor, operatively connected to said piston to move said piston in said cylinder; a patient interface in ducted fluid connection with said piston/cylinder assembly to receive gas via said at least one gas outlet and to deliver said gas to said patient.

MEDICAL SYRINGE

The present invention may provide a medical syringe comprising: a cylinder including a stopper protruding inward; and a plunger disposed inside the cylinder so as to move back and forth in a first direction, wherein the plunger includes a plurality of protrusions, and the plurality of protrusions are arranged at intervals along the longitudinal direction of the plunger, and based on the first direction, any one of the stopper or the plurality of protrusions is arranged so as to be selectively overlapped according to the rotation of the plunger.

MANUALLY OPERATED NEGATIVE PRESSURE WOUND TREATMENT APPARATUS COUPLED WITH SMART FEEDBACK SYSTEM
20220184295 · 2022-06-16 ·

The present invention provides a manually operated negative pressure wound treatment (NPWT) apparatus for suction of bodily fluids using the negative pressure generated by means of manual pressing. The NPWT apparatus is made of two parts: [1] top functional part; and [2] bottom collector part. The top functional part is made of a pressing mechanism attached to a bellow enclosed within an enclosure. The bellow is connected to the wound dressing using an external medical tube through a one-way check valve, wherein the negative pressure gets created within the bellows when compressed by manually pressing the mechanism. The negative pressure of the bellows sucks the bodily fluid from the wound, which promotes a new blood supply, cleaning infection, and accelerates healing dramatically. The bottom collector part is attached with the bellow through the internal one-way valve, wherein the collector collects the fluid from the bellow when the piston is pressed in the next cycle. Pressure levels and wound conditions are measured and transmitted to the user's smart device, in order to enhance treatment monitoring and efficacy.
