Nasal aspirator
An aspiration device is described, including a bulb aspirator including a bulb body, a first collar and tip, the bulb body includes an upper portion configured for receiving one end of the first collar and lower portion configured for receiving in a first configuration a stop and in a second different configuration a second collar associated with a suction tube, the tip is configured for insertion into a passageway; the stop being configured for detachable connection to the lower portion of the bulb body when in the first configuration; and the suction tube including the second collar, a tube portion and an adaptor, the second collar is disposed at a first end of the suction tube and being adapted to be coupled to the lower portion of the bulb body, the adaptor is configured to adapt to a human mouth to enable suction to be applied at the adaptor.
SURGICAL STAPLER APPARATUS AND METHOD
A surgical stapler apparatus or assembly comprises a surgical stapler device having an internal channel extending from a stapler actuating handle to a stapler head of the device and a gas insufflation device having a pressurized gas supply connected to the internal channel of the stapler device via an inlet port at a handle portion intersecting with the channel in order to supply pressurized gas to the channel as the stapler shaft is inserted into the lumen of a colon, rectum or the like. Pressurized gas travels along the channel and out of the stapler head at the distal end of the stapler device in order to inflate the lumen ahead of the advancing stapler head, easing insertion.
MANUAL BREAST PUMP
A manual pump apparatus and method for extracting breastmilk is disclosed. A pump head comprises a funnel-shaped breast shield portion and a neck portion leading to a collection container. A deformable elastic component is sealed within an opening formed in the neck portion and manipulated by a mechanical actuation device to engage the user's nipple within the pump head to simulate the suckling of an infant and to compress the nipple to control edema. The deformable elastic component is configured to move into the interior volume of the neck portion under an applied pressure such that the deformable elastic component compresses the nipple to control nipple edema. The deformable elastic component is also configured to move away from the axial center of the neck portion under an applied pressure to create a volume to create suction and extract breastmilk in a manner that closely replicates the suckling of an infant.
WOUND CLEANSING APPARATUS IN-SITU
An apparatus for cleansing wounds, in which wound exudate is removed from a wound bed and selectively cleansed and returned to the wound. The cleansing means removes materials deleterious to wound healing, and the cleansed fluid, still containing materials that are beneficial in promoting wound healing, is returned to the wound bed. The associated wound dressing and cleansing means are conformable to the wound, and may have irrigant fluid circulated from a reservoir by a device for moving fluid through a flow path which passes through the dressing and a means for fluid cleansing and back to the dressing.
Corporeal drainage system
A catheter connector assembly which may be included with a corporeal drainage system, and a method of draining fluid from a bodily cavity. The catheter connector assembly may include a catheter connector and a drainage line connector. The catheter connector may include a connector body with a coupling feature, a deformable sealing element, and a retaining member. The drainage line connector may include a drainage line body first and second hinge clips, and an actuator. The actuator is designed to deform the deformable sealing element when the drainage line connector is coupled to the catheter connector.
Manual breast pump and method of use
A manual breast pump is disclosed. The manual breast pump comprises a breast cup configured to engage with a mother's breast and a reservoir at a base of the breast cup configured to collect milk extracted from the mother's breast. The reservoir is defined by a wall. The wall comprises a varying thickness from a top of the reservoir toward a bottom of the reservoir.
URETHRAL DELIVERY DEVICE
An urethral antimicrobial delivery device (1) comprising; a deformable reservoir (101) in fluid connection with an elongate member (102), the elongate member comprising a lumen, the elongate member having a proximal end and a distal end, the elongate member having a plurality of pores (103) defined therein, said pores being distributed along a length of said elongate member, the elongate member being dimensioned for insertion through an external urethral orifice of a female subject, whereby the elongate member is insertable into a distal urethral cavity for delivery of an antimicrobial in said distal urethral cavity, and wherein the device comprises a collar (105) to prevent said elongate member entering a proximal urethral cavity.
Counterbalanced nasal bulb aspirator
A nasal bulb aspirator that can be sized to fit the needs of infants through adults and is designed to ensure that the tip remains hygienically intact by a one-way valve and a counterbalance system that prevents the tip from touching surrounding surfaces, thereby limiting cross contamination from possibly resistant pathogens.
