A digital power amplifier for a signal, the digital power amplifier comprising:
a first activatable amplifier;
a second activatable amplifier; and
an output network,
wherein an output of the first amplifier and an output of the second amplifier are coupled to the output network, and
wherein the amplifiers and/or the output network are configured such that four output levels are obtainable at an output of the output network, and said output levels are configured to optimise a linearity of the digital power amplifier for said signal.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MODULAR POWER AMPLIFIERS
Systems and apparatuses are disclosed that include an RF generator configured to generate RF signals having a wavelength. Amplifiers are configured to receive and amplify the RF signals from the RF generator and are separated from each other by a separation distance in a range between about 0.2 times the wavelength and about 10.0 times the wavelength. A power management system is configured to control one or more of the amplifiers based on information received that is associated with the RF signals.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MODULAR POWER AMPLIFIERS
Systems and apparatuses are disclosed that include a modular power amplifier having a power amplifier subsystem with a first 90 degree hybrid block configured to receive an RF signal and output a split RF signal with components having a 90 degree phase shift, a second 90 degree hybrid block configured to receive and combine the split RF signal by removing the 90 degree phase shift, a high-power amplifier configured to amplify at least one of the components of the split RF signal. The modular power amplifier also includes a power distribution module configured to regulate an amount of power input to the high-power amplifier and a power sequencer configured to control the timing of power delivery by the power distribution module. Three-dimensional power amplifiers having a first high-power amplifier and a second high-power amplifier having different orientations causing a reduction in electromagnetic interference are also disclosed.
SELF-CALIBRATED MULTI-CHANNEL TRANSMISSION SYSTEM FOR A SATELLITE PAYLOAD
A multichannel transmission system which includes a calibration functionality that allows precise calibration of the frequency conversion chains and of the multiport amplifier of the system to be performed without interruption of service. The proposed calibration makes it possible to correct the defects over the entire frequency band of the system.
Doherty combiner
The present invention relates to a Doherty combiner used in a Doherty power amplifier, the Doherty combiner comprising: a phase shift section connected to one end of a carrier amplifier so as to change a phase of an RF signal output from the carrier amplifier; a matching section connected to an output terminal of the Doherty power amplifier so as to impedance-match an output of the Doherty power amplifier; and a bandwidth improvement section connected to one end of a peaking amplifier so as to change at least one of a phase bandwidth and an amplitude bandwidth of the Doherty power amplifier.

A power amplifier system which operates at a narrow band with high power and high efficiency or at a wide band is provided. Said power amplifier system comprises at least one high power amplifier; at least one connection line; at least one input block which receives at least one signal from an input, which is connected to said high power amplifier and connection line, which sends received signal to either high power amplifier or connection line and which amplifies the power of the signal sent to the connection line; and at least one high power asymmetric output switch, which is connected to said high power amplifier and connection line and which sends signals coming from said high power amplifier and connection line to an output.

A 3D stacked parallel-parallel power combiner includes first and second parallel power combining transformers and a first parallel power combiner. The first parallel power combining transformer includes first and second primary windings receiving first and second input signals, and a first secondary winding coupled to the first and second primary windings and providing a first output signal based on the first and second input signals. The second parallel power combining transformer includes third and fourth primary windings receiving third and fourth input signals, and a second secondary winding coupled to the third and fourth primary windings and providing a second output signal based on the third and fourth input signals. The first parallel power combiner is connected to output terminals of the first and second parallel power combining transformers and provides a third output signal by combining the first and second output signals.
Amplifier system with reduced voltage swing
According to one aspect, embodiments of the invention provide an amplifier system comprising a first phase shifter configured to generate, based on an input signal, a first signal and a second signal, the second signal being out of phase with the first signal, a first amplifier configured to apply a first gain to the first signal to produce a gain adjusted first signal, a second amplifier configured to apply a second gain to the second signal to produce a gain adjusted second signal, a second phase shifter configured to combine the gain adjusted first and second signals to produce an output signal, and a controller configured to identify a high voltage swing across the first amplifier and, in response to identifying the high voltage swing, adjust the first gain to reduce output power of the first amplifier and adjust the second gain to increase output power of the second amplifier.
POWER AMPLIFIER CIRCUIT, TRANSMITTER, AND NETWORK DEVICE
A power amplifier circuit, a transmitter, and a network device are provided. The power amplifier circuit includes N input ports, N power amplifier branches, one combiner circuit, and one output port. Each of the N input ports is connected to one power amplifier branch, each of the power amplifier branches is connected to the combiner circuit, and the combiner circuit is further connected to the output port; the N power amplifier branches and the combiner circuit are configured to perform power amplification and combining on N input signals, to generate an output signal. The N power amplifier branches include one first power amplifier branch operates in a class AB or class B operating mode, and N−1 second power amplifier branches operate in a class C operating mode with different gate bias voltages, the gate bias voltages of the N−1 second power amplifier branches become lower in order.
BALANCED RADIO FREQUENCY POWER AMPLIFIER, CHIP AND COMMUNICATION TERMINAL
Disclosed in the present invention are a balanced radio frequency power amplifier, a chip and a communication terminal. The radio frequency power amplifier divides, by means of a 90-degree power splitter unit, a radio frequency input signal into two equal-amplitude signals having a phase difference of 90 degrees, the two radio frequency input signals are amplified and then inputted into an adjustable 90-degree power combiner, and the values of a adjustable capacitor and an adjustable resistor in the adjustable 90-degree power combiner are controlled by means of a control unit, so as to synthesize the two radio frequency input signals into one radio frequency input signal when the phase difference and amplitude difference of the two signals at different frequencies are the smallest, and to input the radio frequency input signal into a circuit of the next stage by means of a specific radio frequency transmission path.
