NEEDLE HAVING A SAFETY MECHANISM
The present invention relates to a needle having safety mechanism and particularly relates to a huber needle assembly (10; 110) having safety mechanism comprising a needle hub (12; 112), a base (14; 114), a huber needle (16; 116) slidably disposed through the needle hub (12; 112), a wing holder (16; 116) having two wings (18; 118) at the opposite end of the wing holder (16; 116), a connector (24; 124) which connect the needle hub (12; 112) and the base (14; 114) for protecting the tip of the huber needle.
Piercing Member for Container Access Device
A device for transferring fluids includes a piercing member having a distal end and a proximal end and defines a longitudinal fluid channel. An opening is positioned at the distal end of the piercing member with the opening in fluid communication with the longitudinal fluid channel. Further, a sleeve having a proximal end and a distal end includes an extended position where the sleeve surrounds the piercing member and a retracted position where the sleeve is retracted from the distal end of the piercing member. The sleeve defines an opening at the distal end of the sleeve with a gap defined between the retractable sleeve and the piercing member.

NEEDLE CANNULA WITH A GRINDED POINT
The invention relates to a needle cannula having a proximal end, a distal end and a lumen there between. The needle cannula is provided with a sharp point formed in a three-facet grinding. The first ground facet is of elliptic shape and grinded symmetrically around a central axis, and the second and third ground facet are grinded substantially symmetrically on opposite sides of the first ground facet such that the second and third ground facet converge to form the distal needle tip. The length of each of the substantially identical second and third ground facet measured along the central axis is less than half, and preferably less than one third, of the length of the first ground facet measured along the central axis.
PERI-VASCULAR TISSUE ABLATION CATHETERS
An intravascular catheter for peri-vascular and/or peri-urethral tissue ablation includes multiple needles advanced through supported guide tubes which expand around a central axis to engage the interior surface of the wall of the renal artery or other vessel of a human body allowing the injection an ablative fluid for ablating tissue, and/or nerve fibers in the outer layer or deep to the outer layer of the vessel, or in prostatic tissue. The system may also include a means to limit and/or adjust the depth of penetration of the ablative fluid into and beyond the tissue of the vessel wall. The catheter may also include structures which provide radial and/or lateral support to the guide tubes so that the guide tubes expand uniformly and maintain their position against the interior surface of the vessel wall as the sharpened injection needles are advanced to penetrate into the vessel wall. A method can involve injection/infusion of the ablative fluid over an extended time period of at least 10 seconds or with two injections at two different penetration depths to reduce or eliminate patient pain during ablation.
