Systems and methods for using a microcannula introducer for skin and soft tissue augmentation

The present disclosure is directed to a needle introducer. The needle introducer includes a needle guide and a cannula body coupled to the needle guide. The needle guide includes a flared head and a tapered neck. The needle guide forms a first channel extending from a first opening in the flared head to a second opening in the tapered neck. The cannula body includes a beveled tip at a distal end of the cannula body. The cannula body forms a second channel extending from a first opening in a proximal end of the cannula body to a second opening in the distal end of the cannula body. The cannula body is coupled to the needle guide via the tapered neck of the needle guide to connect the first channel to the second channel. The cannula body is configured to maintain an injection portal in the soft tissue.

An expanding needle is provided that includes a tubular body having a proximal end, a needle-tipped distal end, and a lumen extending therebetween. The expanding needle also includes a longitudinal seam formed on the tubular body. The tubular body is configured to uncurl radially, along the longitudinal seam, thereby transitioning the tubular body from a contracted state to an expanded state to increase an inner diameter of the lumen. In certain embodiments, the tubular body is formed by, for example, a continuous flexible sheet rolled in a lengthwise direction. In that case, the longitudinal seam is defined by a portion of a side of the flexible sheet overlapping an opposing side of the flexible sheet. An expanding needle device, including an expanding needle seated to a needle hub, and a method of increasing an inner diameter of an expanding needle are also provided herein.

PERI-VASCULAR TISSUE ABLATION CATHETERS

An intravascular catheter for peri-vascular and/or peri-urethral tissue ablation includes multiple needles advanced through supported guide tubes which expand around a central axis to engage the interior surface of the wall of the renal artery or other vessel of a human body allowing the injection an ablative fluid for ablating tissue, and/or nerve fibers in the outer layer or deep to the outer layer of the vessel, or in prostatic tissue. The system may also include a means to limit and/or adjust the depth of penetration of the ablative fluid into and beyond the tissue of the vessel wall. The catheter may also include structures which provide radial and/or lateral support to the guide tubes so that the guide tubes expand uniformly and maintain their position against the interior surface of the vessel wall as the sharpened injection needles are advanced to penetrate into the vessel wall. A method can involve injection/infusion of the ablative fluid over an extended time period of at least 10 seconds or with two injections at two different penetration depths to reduce or eliminate patient pain during ablation.

A fluid dispenser device having a body (1), and a dispenser head (2) provided with an orifice (3) and that is axially movable relative to the body (1). The body receives a reservoir (10) containing fluid, the reservoir has a hollow tube (11) having a proximal axial opening (12) closed by a stopper (20) adapted to slide in the tube (11). The dispenser head (2) includes a hollow cannula (4) connected at one end to the dispenser orifice (3), and provided at its other end with a perforating tip (5) having an opening (6) for perforating the stopper (20), the opening (6) defining a peripheral edge (7) extending around the opening (6) and includes a distal axial end and a proximal axial end, the distal axial end forming the distal axial end (59) of the perforating tip (5) arranged on the longitudinal central axis (A) of the cannula (4).

NASAL DRY POWDER DELIVERY SYSTEM FOR VACCINES AND OTHER TREATMENT AGENTS

A nasal delivery device can include air-receiving section that has a first passageway therethrough to allow air to pass through the air-receiving section, a powder-reservoir receiving section sized to receive a powder reservoir, and a powder-delivery section that has a second passageway therethrough to allow aerosolized powder from the powder reservoir to pass through the powder-delivery section. The first passageway can have a first end and a second end, with the first end being further from the powder-reservoir receiving section and the second end being at or near the powder-reservoir receiving area. The second end of the air-receiving section can include a flattened region so that air exiting the air-receiving section has a generally flattened profile.
