The CPAP apparatus includes a turbine fan, located in the electro-mechanical device housing, connected to the control unit for pressurizing atmospheric air. The pneumatic channel includes an inlet portion located upstream of the turbine fan to receive atmospheric air, and an outlet portion located downstream of the turbine fan to deliver the pressurized air to the face-mask through an outlet opening. The pneumatic channel also longitudinally extends from the inlet portion to the outlet portion.
Apparatus for extracorporeal blood treatment
An extracorporeal blood treatment apparatus is provided comprising a filtration unit (2) connected to a blood circuit (17) and to a dialysate circuit (32), a preparation device (9) for preparing and regulating the composition of the dialysis fluid; a control unit (12) is configured for receiving a conductivity or sodium concentration set point for the dialysis fluid and for calculating a mass transport of a substance at an instant t of a treatment session based on said set value of the parameter for the dialysis fluid in the dialysis supply line (8).
Deformation resistant wound therapy apparatus and related methods of use
The wound therapy apparatus may include a wound interface sealingly securable to the skin surface around a wound bed to encloses the wound bed within an enclosed space that is fluid-tight. The wound interface may be sufficiently deformation resistant to distend at least a portion of the wound bed into the enclosed space when pressure p.sub.0 within the enclosed space is less than ambient pressure p.sub.amb. Fluid may be communicated with the enclosed space when the wound interface is sealingly secured to the skin surface in order to vary a pressure p.sub.0 within the enclosed space periodically over the pressure range p.sub.min≤p.sub.0≤p.sub.max. The variation of the pressure p.sub.0 may distend the wound bed into communication with a pad received within the enclosed space and decreases the wound bed contact with the pad. Related methods of use of the wound therapy apparatus are also disclosed.
Systems for wearable infusion port and associated pump
A wearable infusion port for infusing a fluid includes a first housing that defines an inlet port to receive the fluid, and a second housing coupled to the first housing. The second housing is to be coupled to an anatomy. The wearable infusion port includes a valve assembly fluidly coupled to the inlet port, and the valve assembly is movable from a closed state to an opened state to dispense the fluid. The wearable infusion port includes a cannula assembly extending through the first housing and the second housing, and the cannula assembly includes a cannula fluidly coupled to the valve assembly. The cannula is to be coupled to the anatomy. The wearable infusion port includes a flow sensor fluidly coupled to the inlet port and the cannula. The flow sensor is fluidly coupled upstream from the cannula to observe an amount of fluid received by the cannula.
Integrated breast pump
An integrated breast pump includes a housing, a triple valve integrated with the housing, a breast adapter, a negative pressure generation device, a negative pressure transmission element and an one-way valve. The triple valve includes a liquid inlet, a liquid outlet and a negative pressure port. The breast adapter includes a liquid guiding outlet and is detachably connected with housing. The liquid guiding outlet communicates with the liquid inlet. The negative pressure generation device includes a pumping port and is configured for providing negative pressure periodically. The negative pressure generation device is detachably connected with housing, and the pumping port is disposed towards the negative pressure port. The negative pressure transmission element is disposed in the negative pressure port and communicates with the pumping port. The negative pressure transmission element is configured for generating deformation periodically according to the negative pressure. The one-way valve is connected with the liquid outlet.
Pumping fluid delivery systems and methods using force application assembly
A method of dispensing a therapeutic fluid from a line includes providing an inlet line connectable to an upstream fluid source. The inlet line is in downstream fluid communication with a pumping chamber. The pumping chamber has a pump outlet. The method also includes actuating a force application assembly so as to restrict retrograde flow of fluid through the inlet while pressurizing the pumping chamber to urge flow through the pump outlet. A corresponding system employs the method.
Blood purification apparatus with a bypass line that bypasses an ultrafiltration pump
A blood purification apparatus that is capable of, with no preparatory operations, performing substitution by supplying dialysate in a dialysate introduction line to a blood circuit during ultrafiltration treatment, or performing blood return by immediately supplying the dialysate in the dialysate introduction line to the blood circuit after the ultrafiltration treatment. A blood purification apparatus includes a dialyzer, a dialysate introduction line, a dialysate drain line L2 through which drain liquid from the dialyzer is drained, and an ultrafiltration pump capable of removing water from the blood in the blood circuit. The blood purification apparatus is capable of performing substitution or blood return by supplying the dialysate in the dialysate introduction line L1 to the blood circuit. In an ultrafiltration treatment in which the ultrafiltration pump is activated while the introduction of the dialysate into the dialyzer is stopped, dialysate delivery is performed while the introduction of the dialysate into the dialyzer is prevented.
