A patch-sized fluid delivery device may include a reusable portion and a disposable portion. The disposable portion may include components that come into contact with the fluid, while the reusable portion may include only components that do not come into contact with the fluid. Redundant systems, such as redundant controllers, power sources, motor actuators, and alarms, may be provided. Alternatively or additionally, certain components can be multi-functional, such a microphones and loudspeakers that may be used for both acoustic volume sensing and for other functions and a coil that may be used as both an inductive coupler for a battery recharger and an antenna for a wireless transceiver. Various types of network interfaces may be provided in order to allow for remote control and monitoring of the device.

Fluid path impedance assessment for improving fluid delivery performance

A fluid injector system for delivering a multi-phase fluid injection to a patient and methods of fluid delivery is disclosed. Methods of creating and using a multi-aspect fluid path impedance model of the injector system are used. Modeling and adjustment of factors that affect impedance and prevent or reduce backflow, reduce the likelihood of fluid flow rate spikes and provide more accurate flow rates and mixing ratios of fluids may be repeated or happen essentially continuously during an injection. The adjustments may be determined before the injection or determined and/or adjusted during the injection. The determination may include sensor feedback commonly used in injectors such as pressure and position feedback as well as other sensors. In all cases, the user can be notified of adjustments through on-screen notices and/or through the recordation of the injection data by a control device of the injector at the conclusion of the injection.

Dual container hydrostatic ventilator

In an example, a ventilator includes a first container and a second container in fluidic communication with each other via a liquid. The second container includes a second container space surrounded by the second container and a second liquid surface. A hydrostatic pressure in the second container space results from a pressure differential defined by a difference between the first liquid surface elevation in the first container and the second liquid surface elevation. The second container space increases in size with an increase in the breathing gas supplied from a gas supply line to the second container space. An inhalation line is configured to open to permit a flow of the breathing gas from an inhalation inlet in the second container space to an inhalation outlet outside of the liquid and outside of the second container and coupled to a patient, causing the second container space to decrease in size.

PLATE WITH INTEGRAL FLUID PATH CHANNELS

A medicament delivery device comprising a housing connected to a base and enclosing an interior, the interior having a fluid channel wherein the fluid channel passes from a first position in the interior, to a second position outside the interior, and to a third position in the interior.

GLAUCOMA TREATMENT SYSTEMS AND METHODS

Glaucoma treatment devices are disclosed. In various example, the glaucoma treatment devices include a body and a fluid conduit that are configured to help facilitate evacuation of fluid from a fluid-filled body cavity, and reabsorption of the evacuated aqueous humor by the body through tissue surrounding the glaucoma treatment device. In some examples, the glaucoma treatment device is configured such that a flow resistance through the fluid conduit can be modified post-operatively one or more times.

A repeater system may control a pump by using a repeater and a user interface. An adhesive patch system may be used for affixing a pump or other object to a human body. Such an adhesive patch system may include two sets of adhesive members, each member including an adhesive material on at least one side so as to attach to the body. The members of the first set are spaced to allow the members of the second set to attach to the body in spaces provided between the members of the first set, and the members of the second set are spaced to allow members of the first set to detach from the body without detaching the members of the second set. Also, fill stations and base stations are provided for personal pump systems.

PUMPING FLUID DELIVERY SYSTEMS AND METHODS USING FORCE APPLICATION ASSEMBLY
20220275796 · 2022-09-01 ·

A method of dispensing a therapeutic fluid from a line includes providing an inlet line connectable to an upstream fluid source. The inlet line is in downstream fluid communication with a pumping chamber. The pumping chamber has a pump outlet. The method also includes actuating a force application assembly so as to restrict retrograde flow of fluid through the inlet while pressurizing the pumping chamber to urge flow through the pump outlet. A corresponding system employs the method.

PRESSURE SPIKE ABSORBING SYSTEMS

An apparatus for coupling to a fluid delivery system and for receiving a fluid into the apparatus; a portion of the apparatus permitting a change in shape or size to accommodate the fluid volume or pressure received therein. The apparatus including a housing with a cavity, an expandable reservoir with an opening and a passage, and a cap; the expandable reservoir positioned within the cavity and coupled to a fluid source. The expandable reservoir includes an unrestrained orientation when a fluid volume or pressure therein is below a threshold, and an expanded orientation, when the fluid volume or pressure therein is above the threshold; the expandable reservoir moving toward the expanded orientation to accommodate a fluid volume or pressure received through an opening, and the expandable reservoir moving toward the unrestrained orientation to direct a fluid volume or pressure through an opening.

Fill stations and base stations are provided for personal pump systems. The fill stations may be opened and closed to accept a reservoir and to allow fluid to be introduced into the reservoir for use with personal pump systems. The fill stations may hold the reservoir at a tilt relative to an underlying surface and may discourage overfilling of the reservoir. The filling stations may also include viewing windows having fluid lines marked thereon for indicating volume of fluid within the reservoir.
