In some embodiments, the gate operates to respond to the amount of breastmilk displaced to the baby, and thereby allows for quantification. In some embodiments, the quantity of breastmilk displaced is also recorded.
AEROSOL GENERATION DEVICE AND PRODUCTION METHOD FOR AEROSOL GENERATION DEVICE
Provided is an aerosol generation device that suppresses the effect that errors in the production of structural elements have on the accuracy with which shortage of an aerosol source is detected. An aerosol generation device that comprises: a power source; a load that has a temperature-variable electrical resistance value and atomizes an aerosol source by generating heat due to supply of power from the power source; a first circuit that is used for the load to atomize the aerosol source; a second circuit that is connected in parallel to the first circuit, has a higher electrical resistance value than the first circuit, and is used to detect voltage that changes as a result of changes in the temperature of the load; an acquisition part that acquires the value of voltage that is applied to the second circuit and the load; and sensors that output the value of the voltage that changes as a result of changes in the temperature of the load.
GLUCOSE LEVEL CONTROL SYSTEM WITH THERAPY CUSTOMIZATION
Systems and methods are disclosed herein for providing a configuration code for customizing a glucose level control system for at least an initial period. The configuration code can be based on one or more dosing parameters from a tracked medicament therapy administered to a subject over a tracking period by the glucose level control system. The configuration code includes encoded dosing parameters including a correction dosing parameter based on at least some of the correction boluses of medicament administered during the tracking period, a food intake dosing parameter comprising an indication of a food intake bolus size of medicament based on one or more food intake boluses provided during the tracking period, and a basal dosing parameter based on at least some of the basal doses of medicament administered during the tracking period.
Method and apparatus for degassing liquids
The present invention relates to an apparatus for degassing liquids comprising a degassing system, wherein the degassing system has a first degassing chamber, a second degassing chamber, a liquid store, a pump, and a supply line that connects the liquid store to the first degassing chamber; wherein the pump is connected to the first degassing chamber at the intake side and to the second degassing chamber at the pressure side; and wherein the degassing system furthermore has a return line that can be cut off and that connects the two degassing chambers to one another, and wherein the apparatus comprises a controller that is configured to operate the degassing system in a first operating mode and in a second operation mode; wherein the degassing system is connected in the first operation mode such that the pump conducts liquid away from the first degassing chamber and supplies it to a removal unit for degassed liquid; and wherein the degassing system is connected in the second operating mode such that liquid is returned from the second degassing chamber to the first degassing chamber through the return line.
BLOOD PURIFICATION DEVICE
A blood purification device includes a chamber, a liquid feed line, an air introduction unit, a liquid level adjustment unit, and a control unit. The chamber is provided on a blood circuit for extracorporeally circulating patient's blood and introduces purified plasma obtained by purifying plasma separated by a plasma separator provided on the blood circuit, or a replenishing liquid for replenishing the plasma separated by the plasma separator, into the blood circuit. The liquid feed line is capable of sending the purified plasma or the replenishing liquid to the chamber. The air introduction unit is capable of introducing air into the liquid feed line. The liquid level adjustment unit is capable of adjusting a liquid level height in the chamber. At the end of blood purification treatment, the control unit performs a liquid recovery process for sending the purified plasma or the replenishing liquid to the chamber via the liquid feed line while introducing air into the liquid feed line by the air introduction unit and maintains the liquid level height in the chamber at a predetermined liquid level height by the liquid level adjustment unit.
OXYGEN TANK DURATION OF USE
The exemplary embodiments disclose a method, a computer program product, and a computer system for determining a duration of use left in an oxygen tank. The exemplary embodiments may include collecting data of a user and corresponding oxygen tank, extracting one or more features from the collected data, and determining a duration of use left in the oxygen tank based on the extracted one or more features and one or more models.
Apparatus for supplying gases to a patient
An apparatus for the supply of humidified gases to a patient is disclosed that comprises a gases supply passage downstream of a humidified gases supply, and upstream of a patient in use, where at least one sensor is embedded in or located on the outside of the wall of the passage. In preferred forms the wall of the passage divides the sensor(s) from a flow of gases in the passage. In use, a controller receives an output of the sensor(s) and derives from the output of the sensor(s) an estimation of a property of gases flowing through the passage or provides a control output to the humidified gases supply according to the output of the sensor(s).
IMPROVEMENTS RELATING TO HUMIDIFIERS FOR RESPIRATORY GASES
A sensor and method for determining the state of a humidification chamber in a respiratory gas humidifier. The sensor comprises a transmitter for emitting an electromagnetic radiation signal, a receiver for receiving the electromagnetic radiation signal and providing an output signal, and a controller for varying the intensity of the electromagnetic radiation signal emitted by the transmitter and/or the gain setting of the receiver. The controller has two sensor configurations, a first configuration in which the transmitter emits an electromagnetic radiation signal having a first intensity, the receiver has a first gain setting, and the receiver provides a first output signal, and a second configuration in which the transmitter emits an electromagnetic radiation signal having a second intensity, the receiver has a second gain setting, and the receiver provides a second output signal, wherein the first intensity is different to the second intensity, and/or the first gain setting is different to the second gain setting, and the controller determines a state of the humidification chamber by comparing the first and second outputs of the receiver with one or more threshold values.
