MATRIX POWER AMPLIFIER
A power amplifier includes a two-dimensional matrix of NM active cells formed by stacking main terminals of multiple active cells in series. The stacks are coupled in parallel to form the two-dimensional matrix. The power amplifier includes a driver structure to coordinate the driving of the active cells so that the effective output power of the two-dimensional matrix is approximately NM the output power of each of the active cells.

High gain load circuit for a differential pair using depletion mode transistors
A differential pair gain stage is disclosed. In one embodiment, the gain stage includes a differential pair of depletion-mode transistors, including a first and a second n-type transistor. In certain embodiments of the invention, the depletion mode transistor may be GaN (gallium nitride) field effect transistors. The gain stage includes an active load including one or more depletion mode transistors electrically coupled to at least one of the drains of depletion mode transistors of the differential pair. The active load may include a source follower for maintaining the AC voltages at the drains of the differential pair at a constant value and may further include a casocde stage for setting a fixed drain source voltage across the output transistors to increase the output impedance and gain of the stage.
Wide bandwidth variable gain amplifier and exponential function generator
A variable gain amplifier includes an input transistor, an auxiliary transistor, an active inductor and an input current replica circuit. The input transistor is arranged for receiving an input signal to generate an output signal at an output terminal. The auxiliary transistor is coupled to the output terminal of the input transistor, wherein a current of the output terminal flows into the input transistor and the auxiliary transistor. The active inductor is coupled to the output terminal of the input transistor. The input current replica circuit is coupled to the output terminal of the input transistor, wherein a current flowing through a portion of the input current replica circuit is equal to the current flowing through the input transistor, and both a current of the active inductor and the current of the portion of the input current replica circuit flow into the output terminal of the input transistor.
Differential amplifiers
A differential amplifier comprises: a long tailed pair transistor configuration comprising a differential pair of transistors and a tail transistor; and a replica circuit configured to vary a feedback current in the replica circuit to match a replica voltage to a reference voltage, wherein varying the feedback current in the replica circuit provides a bias voltage to the tail transistor in the long tailed pair which controls a tail current through the tail transistor to determine a common mode voltage in the long tailed pair.
AMPLIFIER ARRANGEMENT AND SWITCHED CAPACITOR INTEGRATOR
An amplifier arrangement has a first differential stage with a first transistor pair, a second differential stage with a first and a second transistor pair, each pair having a common source connection. The amplifier arrangement further has a first complementary differential stage with a transistor pair having opposite conductivity type, and a second complementary differential stage with a first and a second transistor pair of the complementary conductivity type. The first and the second complementary differential stage are connected symmetrically compared to the first and the second differential stage. The transistors of the second differential stage and the second complementary differential stage are symmetrically connected to form respective first, second, third and fourth current paths. A pair of output terminals is coupled to the first and the fourth current path. Gate terminals of the transistors are coupled to a respective pair of input terminals.
AMPLIFIER CIRCUIT, RECEPTION CIRCUIT, AND SEMICONDUCTOR INTEGRATED CIRCUIT
An amplifier circuit includes: an input circuit configured to receive an input signal; a load circuit provided in series with the input circuit and including a first variable resistance unit and a second variable resistance unit, a resistance value of the first variable resistance unit being controlled by, a digital code, a resistance value of the second variable resistance unit being controlled by an analog control voltage; and a correction circuit including a third variable resistance unit having a circuit configuration corresponding to the first variable resistance unit and a fourth variable resistance unit having a circuit configuration corresponding to the second resistance unit, a resistance value of the third variable resistance unit being controlled by the digital code, a resistance value of the fourth variable resistance unit being controlled by the analog control voltage, the correction circuit being configured correct a resistance value of the load circuit.

An operational amplifier comprises: a first amplifier stage 4 comprising a first differential pair of transistors 8, 10 arranged to receive and amplify a differential input signal 18, 20 thereby providing a first differential output signal 22, 24; and a second amplifier stage 6 comprising a second differential pair of transistors 26, 28 arranged to receive and amplify the first differential output signal 22, 24 thereby providing a second differential output signal 38, 40.

A traveling wave amplifier includes two input-side lines, two output-side lines, and amplification cells, and the amplification cells include a first input terminal, a second input terminal, a transistor including a base connected to the first input terminal and a collector connected to one of the output-side lines, a transistor including a base connected to the second input terminal and a collector connected to the other output-side line, a current source connected to an emitter of the two transistors, a series circuit having one end connected to the collector of the other transistor and the other end connected to the base of the one transistor and including a capacitor and a resistor, and a series circuit having one end connected to the collector of the one transistor and the other end connected to the base of the other transistor and including a capacitor and a resistor.
