APPARATUS, SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETECTING AND MONITORING INHALATIONS
Described herein are an interactive apparatus and methods for sensing and measuring real-time characteristic patterns of a subject's use of a dry powder inhalation system. The inhaler device can be used in a wireless communication mode to communicate with a display to assess the subject's usage of the inhalation system concurrently as the inhalation is performed and thus the subject's inhalation can be evaluated as well as the performance of the inhalation system. The system can also detect the identity of the medicament, its dosage, lot, expiration, etc. and the characteristics profile of a dry powder formulation emitted from the inhalation system in use.
INTERACTIVE PATIENT GUIDANCE FOR MEDICAL DEVICES
Medical devices and related guidance systems and methods for interactive patient guidance are provided. An exemplary method of interactively providing guidance facilitating operation of a medical device involves identifying, at a computing device communicatively coupled to the medical device, a user objective associated with the medical device, obtaining, at the computing device from the medical device, user interface status information corresponding to a current state of a user interface of the medical device, and providing, on a display associated with the computing device, guidance information influenced by the user interface status information and the user objective. Subsequently, updated user interface status information for the infusion device responsive to a user input with respect to the infusion device may be provided to the computing device, with the guidance information being dynamically updated in response to the updated status information.
SYSTEM FOR CONTROL AND RESPIRATORY FUNCTION MAINTENANCE
The invention relates to medicine, The technical result of the present invention is to increase the efficiency of treatment of the respiratory system pathologies. The system includes a communication unit connected to a ventilator, a human-machine interface unit, a data processing, storage and management unit, an algorithmic unit, a pulse generation unit, a unit of electromyography electrodes and a stimulation.
VAPORIZER RELATED SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND APPARATUS
A personal vapor inhaling unit is disclosed. An electronic flameless vapor inhaler unit that may simulate a cigarette has a cavity that receives a cartridge in the distal end of the inhaler unit. The cartridge brings a substance to be vaporized in contact with a wick. When the unit is activated, and the user provides suction, the substance to be vaporized is drawn out of the cartridge, through the wick, and is atomized by the wick into a cavity containing a heating element. The heating element vaporizes the atomized substance. The vapors then continue to be pulled by the user through a mouthpiece and mouthpiece cover where they may be inhaled.
REUSABLE RESPIRATORY DEVICE MONITORING SYSTEM
A respiratory system and method comprise a tracker module adaptable to be secured to a variety of inhalers, the tracker module sensing activation of the medication canister of the inhaler for delivery of medication to a user. The tracker module also senses the rate of inhalation air flow of the user when inhaling medication for determination of proper inhaler use. Upstream and downstream sensors provide flow information to determine quality of the inhalation. Other sensors are provided that monitor user presence at the inhaler, user technique in using the inhaler, and the attitude of the inhaler when it was used. Low power devices are used to conserve battery power.
REMOTE CONFIGURATION OF A RESPIRATORY DEVICE
The present technology relates to systems and/or methods for enabling a respiratory device to be configured when a clinician or healthcare professional is remote from the respiratory device. One form provides a method of configuring a respiratory device, the respiratory device comprising a processor configured to control operation of the respiratory device in accordance with a plurality of operating parameters. The method comprises determining a combination of settings for the device from an identifier sent to the device, the identifier corresponding to the combination of settings, and configuring the respiratory device accordingly. Another form provides a method of verifying the configuration of the respiratory device by outputting an identifier corresponding to the combination of settings for the device, and determining the settings from the identifier.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ADJUSTING USER POSITION USING MULTI-COMPARTMENT BLADDERS
A method includes receiving data associated with a sleep session of a user. The method also includes determining that the user is experiencing or has experienced an event based at least in part on the data. The method also includes causing pressurized air to be directed from a respiratory device to a multi-compartment bladder in response to determining that the user is experiencing or has experienced the event to aid in modifying a position of a head of the user.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DETECTING USER INTERACTION WITH A RESPIRATORY THERAPY DEVICE
Disclosed are apparatus and methods of detecting user interaction with a respiratory therapy device and effecting an action in response to the detection. The apparatus comprises a sensor which is positioned so as to detect the presence of a user's hand or fingers near to the apparatus, such as a surface or handle. In embodiments the apparatus may be configured to detect gestures or movement of the user. On detection of a user, the apparatus may be configured to effect one or more actions, such as disabling a feature of an input or output device or alerting a user.
CONTINUOUS AUDITORY BRAIN STIMULATION
Systems and methods discussed herein can be used to augment or induce brainwave behavior, such as using auditory stimulus, in an example, ambient acoustic information can be received, selectively modulated, and presented to a user in a substantially continuous manner. A low frequency portion of received ambient acoustic information can be modulated and then combined with a high frequency portion of the ambient acoustic information to produce a combined signal. The combined signal can be provided to the user as an auditory stimulation signal.
APPLICATION TO GUIDE MASK FITTING
A respiratory pressure therapy system for providing continuous positive air pressure to a patient via a patient interface configured to engage with at least one airway of the patient. The system includes: a flow generator configured to generate supply of breathable gas for delivery to the patient via the patient interface; at least one sensor; a display; and a computing device. The computing device is configured to: receive sensor data that is based on measured physical property of the supply of breathable gas; control, based on the received sensor data, the flow generator to adjust a property of the supply of breathable gas; receive, an input indicating assistance is needed with using the patient interface; receive one or more images of the patient with the patient interface; analyse the received one or more images; and based on the analysis, display instructions for positioning the patient interface.
