A virtual reality and augmented reality system configured for meditation applications including a headset comprising an adjustable strap and a display. The headset further includes heating and cooling elements to provide an immersive virtual reality environment to a wearer. The virtual reality system is operable to determine the physiological condition of the wearer and adjust the virtual reality environment based on the physiological condition of the wearer.

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, receiving information about a task to be completed by a user, receiving information about the user and receiving information about a physical environment of the user. The subject disclosure may further include creating one or more immersion objects based on the information about the task, the information about the user and the information about the physical environment, creating an immersive environment including the one or more immersive objects and at least a portion of the physical environment of the user, and communicating to an extended reality (XR) device of the user information about the immersive environment to create an immersive experience for completion of the task by the user. A method and a system for image-guided intervention such as a percutaneous treatment or diagnosis of a patient may include at least one of a pre-registration method and a re-registration method. The pre-registration method is configured to permit for an efficient virtual representation of a planned trajectory to target tissue during the intervention, for example, as a holographic light ray shown through an augmented reality system. In turn, this allows the operator to align a physical instrument such as a medical probe for the intervention. The re-registration method is configured to adjust for inaccuracy in the virtual representation generated by the pre-registration method, as determined by live imaging of the patient during the intervention. The re-registration method may employ the use of intersectional contour lines to define the target tissue as viewed through the augmented reality system, which permits for an unobstructed view of the target tissue for the intervention.

A system and method for a cloud-based gaming platform with integrated health-related data collection capabilities. In an embodiment, the system and method comprise a cloud-based gaming platform comprising a frontend accessible from various game clients which operates a gaming environment on one or more game servers, a backend that provides the game database and analytics used by the game servers to operate the gaming environment, and a HIPPA-compliant security gateway configured to route health-related data from gaming to a healthcare diagnostics and treatment module integrated into the platform. Exercising on an exercise machine compatible with the cloud-based gaming platform entertains the user while simultaneously capturing data about the user's physical and mental performance which can later be used to diagnose medical conditions and, depending on configuration, implement treatment regimens comprising exercise routines and mental simulation via tasks in the gaming environment.

An intubation assistance device includes an electronic controller configured to: generate a patient respiratory tract geometry model of at least a portion of a human respiratory tract by inputting one or more patient variables into a statistical shape model (SSM) of at least a portion of the human respiratory tract; select a recommended endotracheal tube (ETT) size by modeling at least one ETT model inserted into the patient respiratory tract geometry model to form a virtual fit model and estimating at least one fit parameter based on the virtual fit model; and display the recommended ETT size on a display device.

The device may include at least two motors in a housing with unbalanced masses coupled to their axles, such that vibration of the masses causes the two motors and housing to vibrate at a beat frequency 80. In an embodiment, the system and method comprise a healthcare diagnostics and treatment module comprising a HIPPA-compliant security gateway, an AI-assisted healthcare diagnostics module, and an alert and treatments module. The HIPPA-compliant security gateway separates out health-related data from streams of data which may include other data such as game data, provides the health-related data to the AI-assisted healthcare diagnostics module which performs diagnoses of the health-related data using machine learning algorithms, and provides the diagnoses to the alert and treatments module which generates alerts and treatments based on the diagnoses.

A processing device in one embodiment is configured to generate a first sound cue of a first type, the first sound cue comprising a primary entrainment cue for an entrainment sonification system, to generate one or more additional sound cues of a second type, each of the one or more additional sound cues comprising an auxiliary entrainment cue for the entrainment sonification system, to provide the first sound cue and the one or more additional sound cues to one or more audio devices of the entrainment sonification system for generation of sound for audible presentation to a user, to receive from one or more sensors of the entrainment sonification system one or more feedback signals, and to adjust one or more characteristics of at least one of the first sound cue and the one or more additional sound cues based at least in part on the one or more received feedback signals.
