Catheter
A catheter (1) has a distal side and a proximal side and includes a tip part (10) and a main body part (20) disposed proximal to the tip part (10), the main body part (20) includes a first layer (21) and a second layer (22), the first layer (21) contains 60% by mass or more of an ethylene-tetrafluoroethylene copolymer, the second layer (22) is disposed inside of the first layer (21) in a radial direction of the catheter (1) and contains 60% by mass or more of a polyamide resin, and a cantilever bending load of the tip part (10) is smaller than a cantilever bending load of the main body part (20).
Syringe for detecting pressure change
A device for positioning a needle tip to a desired location by signaling pressure change is provided. The device includes a barrel, a piston, a biasing element, and a plunger. The barrel defines a reservoir, and it includes a distal end connectable to a puncturing apparatus. The plunger is slidably engaged with the piston, and both are movable within the reservoir. The biasing element connects the plunger and the piston, and its change in length corresponds to the relative position of the plunger and piston. In operation, the piston is at a first position relative to the plunger when the biasing element is at a first length. The piston later moves to a second relative position in response to the biasing element's change of the length resulting from a pressure change inside the reservoir when the puncturing apparatus reaches a location of a mass. The position's change of the piston is visually detectable.
Head harness for positioning a patient interface
Disclosed is a set of holding arrangements for a head harness in the region of a patient interface. The set comprises at least two holding arrangements which are distinguishable by identification markings and/or codings and are unambiguously assignable.
Connection and alignment detection systems and methods
A medical device includes a first housing portion (FHP) and a second housing portion (SHP) configured to be to be movable relative to each other from a first position to operatively engage at a second position to couple at least one of a drive device and a needle-inserting device supported by one of the FHP and the SHP to a reservoir supported by the other of the FHP and the SHP. Electronic circuitry configured to detect at least one of a first magnetic interaction between a magnet and at least one of a first magnetically attractive material and a first magnet-responsive device and a second magnetic interaction between the magnet and at least one of a second magnetically attractive material and a second magnet-responsive device, and to provide a signal or a change in state in response to detecting at least one of the interactions.
Injection Site Information Cap
A injection site information cap includes a housing, a cover portion, an engagement portion configured to couple to and cover an injection port of an injection site, and at least one information element on the cover portion that is positioned to be automatically sensed by at least one sensor of the injection site when the engagement portion is coupled to or is being coupled to the medication injection port. Related apparatus, systems, and techniques are also described.
Tapered compressible bite block
There is provided an apparatus and method of inhibiting compression of a flexible tube of an intubated patient using a bite block. The body including at least one resiliently deformable sealed chamber and a tube engaging portion for abutment with said flexible tube, the body being constructed from a resiliently compressible material and comprising a first tapered end, an opposite second end and a mid-region intermediate thereof, wherein said at least one resiliently deformable sealed chamber extending through or into said mid-region. Wherein as the bite force of a patient increases the body is firstly compressed and then the at least one sealed chamber is at least partly deformed, to thereby inhibit damage to said teeth while inhibiting compression of said flexible tube.
AUTO INJECTOR WITH RECONSTITUTION HANDLING SUPPORT
Disclosed herein is an auto injector for administering a medicament, the auto injector comprising: a housing; a cartridge receiver configured to receive a cartridge comprising a first stopper and a cartridge compartment containing the medicament, the cartridge compartment having a first cartridge subcompartment containing a first medicament component of the medicament and a second cartridge subcompartment containing a second medicament component of the medicament; a drive module coupled to move a plunger rod between a retracted plunger rod position and an extended plunger rod position, the plunger rod being configured to move the first stopper; a processing unit coupled to the drive module, wherein the processing unit is configured to control the drive module to move the plunger rod from a first plunger rod position to a mix plunger rod position with a mix plunger rod speed, wherein the mix plunger rod position is selected to position the first stopper in a position wherein the first medicament component is mixed with the second medicament component, and to provide an onset signal after a number of completed inversions of the auto injector has been performed.
VENTILATION MASK
Ventilation masks are disclosed herein including a mask body and a gas manifold coupled to the mask body to form a gas channel for directing a gas through a gas port to create a curtain effect gas flow within the patient cavity and form a gas curtain within the patient cavity and adjacent to at least one vent opening formed through the mask body, and a sampling cover couplable with the mask body to form a sampling channel between a sampling portal of the sampling cover and a sensing port, where the sampling portal is formed by a protrusion of the sampling cover that extends into the vent opening and can extend toward a patient cavity formed by an inner surface of the mask body.
