A clamping module of or for a medical pump, and a method for identifying a hose clamp of a disposable infusion article insertable into the clamping module. The clamping module includes an electro-optical system for identifying the hose clamp, which has an optical marking. The electro-optical system includes a first light source for emitting at least a first light beam and a second light source for emitting at least a second light beam. The second light source is formed differently than the first light source. A photodetector receives a reflected light, and an optical window bundles the first light beam and/or the second light beam on the disposable infusion article, as well as the reflected light received by the photodetector. The method identifies the hose clamp based on a color and uses a measurement algorithm after insertion of the hose clamp into the medical pump.

Systems and methods for fluid delivery into a ventilation system are disclosed. In an example, the technology relates to a fluid delivery system for delivery of aerosolized liquid. The fluid delivery system includes an injection tip having a set of orifices configured to aerosolize a liquid having certain properties. The injection tip may be couplable with components of a breathing circuit. For example, the injection tip may be couplable with components at or below a wye component (e.g., at a wye component or between the wye component and a patient), such as at the wye component or at an endotracheal tube multi-port connector. Alternatively, the injection tip may be integrated into a breathing circuit, such as at an endotracheal tube connector or at an endotracheal tube.

The processing unit being configured to: control the drive module to move the plunger rod towards the extended plunger rod position with a plunger rod speed; determine plunger rod position; receive the resistance signal; and control the drive module to adjust movement of the plunger rod if the resistance signal is indicative of resistance against movement of the plunger rod above a high resistance threshold, wherein the high resistance threshold is based on the plunger rod position.

The synchronized stimulation of the first processing center and the visual processing center is effective for teaching the user to perform a version of the event.
