Device and method for intraosseous dental administration
An intraosseous tack device is configured to puncture alveolar bone or other human or animal bone at a targeted site of the mouth or body to provide an access point for the delivery of local anesthesia or other medicament. The device includes a tack having a head member and an elongate member extending from the head member. The elongate member is inserted into a sleeve, and the sleeve is coupled to a handle. At least a portion of the sleeve is collapsible, so that when a compressive force is applied to the head member of the tack, the sleeve partially collapses to a shorter length, allowing the distal end of the tack to pass out of the opposite end of the sleeve for puncturing the alveolar bone at the targeted site.
DENTAL ANESTHETIC DELIVERY DEVICES AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
This disclosure relates to dental anesthetic delivery devices and associated methods for using the same. In certain embodiments, an anesthetic delivery device may comprise a pressure-driven needleless injector configured to deliver anesthetic deeply into the gingiva, allowing for a deep numbing and anesthetic effect and reducing pain from subsequent anesthetic injections and/or dental procedures. In some embodiments, the anesthetic delivery device may be T-shaped allowing for a shorter longitude axis length of the syringe body, improved clinician view of the oral cavity during use, single hand and/or ambidextrous use, and/or improved control during positioning.
APPARATUS FOR STIMULATING PATIENT TISSUE OR GUM INJECTION DURING MEDICAL PROCEDURE INJECTIONS
A gum numbing system includes a wristband configured to be attached to a user' wrist; an electronics housing; two or more finger coverings; two or more gum stimulation assemblies, the two or more gum stimulation assemblies detachably connected to the two or more finger coverings and the two or more gum stimulation assemblies to stimulate a patient's gum before a needle is inserted into the patient's gum; and two or more cables or wires, the two or more cables or wires connecting the electronics housing to the two or more gum stimulation assemblies. The electronics housing is integrated into the wristband or the top surface of the wristband.
DEVICE, METHOD, AND SYSTEM FOR AUTOMATED DISPENSING OF PERIODONTAL MEDICATION
A device for the treatment of periodontal disease includes a handle that has a configuration familiar to dental professionals, and a detachable tip or cartridge, that is locked into the handle when use. The device provides for automatically delivering a single dose of medicament, such as a powdered preparation of antibiotic, to a periodontal pocket for treatment of infection or disease.
SALIVA MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
A saliva management system may be configured to manage fluid transfer with respect to first and second bodily regions. The system may include an anchoring member and a connector member. The anchoring member may be configured conformingly engage the first and second bodily regions. The connector member may include a capture portion and a fluid transfer portion. The capture portion may be configured to receive a central portion of the anchoring member. The fluid transfer portion may be being fluidically connected to a supply source.
Micro-needle device
A micro-needle device for delivering a dental local anesthetic that includes a micro-needle array and a hollow spheroid shaped container. The micro-needle array has a base and two or more elongate micro-needles. The elongate micro-needles have an interior surface defining an opening through the elongate micro-needle and the base has a first major surface and a second major surface through which the opening of the elongate micro-needle passes to provide a passage across the base. The hollow spheroid shaped container includes an inside surface, where the first major surface of the base and the inside surface of the hollow spheroid shaped container define a volume that is in fluid connection with each opening of the two or more of the elongate micro-needle. This allows the dental local anesthetic to flow from the volume of the micro-needle device through the opening of the two or more of the elongate micro-needle.
DENTAL LOCAL ANESTHETIC MICRONEEDLE ARRAY
The invention provides a microneedle array easily applied to an oral cavity and may exert an anesthetic effect according to an application site. Provided are an immediate-acting dental local anesthetic preparation including a microneedle array containing a local anesthetic, in which a needle part dissolves in a mucous membrane when being applied to an oral mucous membrane or gums, the microneedle array containing the local anesthetic, in which a height of a microneedle is 50 m or more and 300 m or less, a rip of the microneedle is a circle having a diameter of 1 m or more and 50 m or less or a plane having the same area, and a thickness of a substrate of the microneedle array is 5 m or more and 100 m or less, and a microneedle patch including the microneedle array and a support provided on a back surface of the microneedle array.
Pixel array medical systems, devices and methods
A system comprising a handpiece and drive system configured to removably couple to a proximal end of a housing. A scalpet assembly is configured to removeably couple to the housing, and includes a scalpet array comprising at least one scalpet configured for rotation. The scalpet array is configured to harvest dermal plugs via fractional resection. A collection chamber is configured to collect the dermal plugs, and to house formation of an injectable filler by mincing the dermal plugs, and mixing the dermal plugs with a carrier. The injectable filler is configured for bulk fill. The collection chamber includes a loading port, and a cannular syringe is configured to mate with the loading port to receive the injectable filler, and to deliver the injectable filler for the bulk fill.
INTRAORAL SUCTIONING DEVICE FOR INTRAORAL NEGATIVE PRESSURE WOUND TREATMENT AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE INTRAORAL SUCTIONING DEVICE
The present disclosure relates to an intraoral suctioning device for intraoral negative pressure wound treatment and a method for manufacturing the same. In order to permanently maintain the negative pressure in a wound with a view to an improved wound treatment and regeneration process, the intraoral suctioning device for the intraoral negative pressure wound treatment as disclosed can include a dental splint, an elastic membrane sealing an aperture formed in the dental splint so as to define a sealed wound treatment area on the inside of the dental splint, and a suctioning channel system for evacuating the wound treatment area.
Dental syringe
A device or arrangement for a carpule for a dental syringe permits the harpoon on the distal end of the plunger rod to engage the rubber or rubber-like plug or piston of the carpule, but blocks the piston from being pulled out the open proximal end of the tubular glass body of the carpule. A preferred version has an apertured cap that fits onto the proximal end of the carpule, a retaining neck ring that fits onto the penetrable seal at the proximal end of the carpule, and a bar connecting them. The bar also serves as a grip to assist in handling the carpule.
