A distortion imparting device capable of obtaining a natural distortion effect even when output is decreased is provided. The distortion imparting device includes a first amplification part which attenuates an input audio signal on the basis of an attenuation factor set by a user and amplifies the attenuated audio signal, a second amplification part serially connected to the first amplification part, and a limiting part which is connected between an output terminal of the first amplification part and an input terminal of the second amplification part and limits an input voltage of the second amplification part to a predetermined clip voltage, wherein the limiting part determines the clip voltage on the basis of the attenuation factor.
Network transceiver with VGA channel specific equalization
A network transceiver device is provided, including at least two variable gain amplifiers (VGAs), and at least two sets of analog digital converters (ADCs), each set including ADCs coupled to an output of one of the VGAs, the sets being arranged in VGA-specific channels. The device includes a plurality of feed-forward equalizers (FFEs), each FFE being coupled to receive an output of one of the ADCs in one of the VGA-specific channels. Each FFE is configured to adaptively equalize the output received from the ADCs utilizing a first equalization coefficient subset with coefficient values that are common to all FFEs, and a second equalization coefficient subset that is channel specific and that has a first set of coefficient values for a first VGA-specific channel and a second set of coefficient values for a second VGA-specific channel, the sets of coefficient values being computed independently.
Power amplifier capable of maintaining constant gain regardless of temperature variations
A power amplifier includes a transistor, a temperature sensor and a filter. The transistor is used to receive a bias signal and amplify a radio frequency (RF) signal. The temperature sensor is arranged in proximity to the transistor, and is used to detect a temperature of the transistor to provide a voltage signal at a control node accordingly. The filter is coupled to the temperature sensor and is used to filter the voltage signal to generate a filtered voltage. The bias signal is adjusted according to the filtered voltage.

A network transceiver device is provided, including at least two variable gain amplifiers (VGAs), and at least two sets of analog digital converters (ADCs), each set including ADCs coupled to an output of one of the VGAs, the sets being arranged in VGA-specific channels. A power amplifier circuit includes a first transistor that amplifies an RF signal; a bias current source that supplies a bias current to a second terminal of the first transistor through a first current path; and an adjustment circuit that adjusts the bias current in accordance with a variable power-supply voltage supplied from a power-supply terminal. The adjustment circuit includes first to third resistors, and an adjustment transistor including a first terminal connected to the power-supply terminal through the first resistor, a second terminal connected to the bias current source through the second resistor, and a third terminal connected to the first current path through the third resistor. When the variable power-supply voltage is not less than a first voltage and not greater than a third voltage, the adjustment circuit increases a current that flows to the power-supply terminal through a second current path as the variable power-supply voltage decreases.

A receiver signal path includes a programmable flat gain stage configured to provide an amplified differential pair of signals based on a first frequency response having a selectable flat gain and a differential input pair of signals received on an input differential pair of nodes. The receiver signal path includes a peaking gain stage configured to generate a second amplified differential pair of signals based on the amplified differential pair of signals according to a second frequency response including a first peak gain at or near a carrier frequency in a first pass band. The first peak gain occurs just prior to a first cutoff frequency of the peaking gain stage.
