SOUND QUALITY ENHANCEMENT AND PERSONALIZATION
A computer-implemented method comprises identifying an audio playback device configured to reproduce audio content based on an audio input signal, wherein the audio playback device has a previously measured characteristic frequency response; retrieving the previously measured characteristic frequency response associated with the audio playback device; generating, based on the previously measured characteristic frequency response and a preferred frequency response curve for a plurality of users, a frequency response filter that modifies the previously measured characteristic frequency response of the audio playback device to a modified frequency response; processing the audio input signal with the frequency response filter to generate a filtered audio signal that differs in relative amplitude from the audio input signal in one or more frequency bands; and causing the audio playback device to play back the filtered audio signal.
Ambient sound activated device
In device having at least one microphone and one or more speakers, environmental sound may be recorded using the microphone, classified and mixed with source media sound to produce a mixed sound depending on the classification. The mixed sound may then be played over the one or more speakers.
METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR AUDIO EQUALIZATION
Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture are disclosed for audio equalization. Example instructions disclosed herein cause one or more processors to at least: detect an irregularity in a frequency representation of an audio signal in response to a change in volume between a set of frequency values exceeding a threshold; and adjust a volume at a first frequency value of the set of frequency values to reduce the irregularity.
Sound Processing Method
A sound processing method includes accepting a plurality of setting points, accepting from a user a first operation and a second operation, and adjusting gain values. The first operation includes selecting any one of a plurality of first setting points belonging to a region having a gain value higher than a reference gain value or a plurality of second setting points belonging to a region having a gain value lower than the reference gain value. The second operation includes adjusting the gain value of each of the plurality of first setting points or each of the plurality of second setting points selected. The gain values are values of each of the plurality of first setting points or each of the plurality of second setting points selected in the first operation according to the second operation.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CUSTOMIZING SOUND AND EQUALIZATION FOR AUDIO DEVICES
An automated equalization control module is operable to adjust the equalization settings of a hearable device or music playback application based on one or more data parameters in the metadata associated with the audio content being played. The sonic characteristics of the playback are adjusted based on user-defined preferences associated with one or more metadata tags.
INDEX SCHEMING FOR FILTER PARAMETERS
A method of processing an audio signal is disclosed. According to embodiments of the method, magnitude response information of a prototype filter is determined. The magnitude response information includes a plurality of gain values, at least one of which includes a first gain corresponding to a first frequency. The magnitude response information of the prototype filter is stored. The magnitude response information of the prototype filter at the first frequency is retrieved. Gains are computed for a plurality of control frequencies based on the retrieved magnitude response information of the prototype filter at the first frequency, and the computed gains are applied to the audio signal.
Adjusting system and adjusting method for equalization processing
An adjusting system and an adjusting method for equalization processing are provided. Frequency band energies of sound receiving signals are obtained. The frequency band energies correspond to different frequency bands, respectively. Target gains corresponding to frequency bands are determined according to the frequency band energies. Frequency responses of filtering processing with respect to a plurality of center frequencies are obtained. Equalization gains corresponding to the frequency bands and having the least gain error are determined. The gain error is related to a difference between the amplitude obtained after the equalization gains are reflected on the frequency responses corresponding to the filtering processing and the target gains. The equalization gains are inputted into the filtering processing according to the corresponding frequency bands. Accordingly, the impact of the filtering processing can be reduced.
Adjusting a Playback Device
Certain embodiments provide methods and systems for managing a sound profile. An example playback device includes a network interface and a non-transitory computer readable storage medium having stored therein instructions executable by the processor. When executed by the processor, the instructions are to configure the playback device to receive, via the network interface over a local area network (LAN) from a controller device, an instruction. The example playback device is to obtain, based on the instruction, via the network interface from a location outside of the LAN, data comprising a sound profile. The example playback device is to update one or more parameters at the playback device based on the sound profile. The example playback device is to play back an audio signal according to the sound profile.
Multi-channel volume level equalization based on user preferences
Systems, devices, and methods are provided for multi-stem volume equalization, wherein the volume levels of each stem may be adjusted non-uniformly. Audio may be diarized into a plurality of stems, including background noise separate. Mean and variance of the volume levels of the stems may be computed. Each audio stem may be automatically adjusted based on a stem-specific preference that a user may specify. View may adjust actor volume relative to the mean/variance that maintains a relative difference in volume levels between stems.
