Multi-path power amplifier
A multi-path power amplifier that includes two or more amplifier paths where the amplifier path having the most favorable dynamic resolution of the momentary signal is utilized. The amplifier paths are adaptively controlled by a processor, DSP, or other suitable digital processing. This results in significantly improved power amplifier dynamic range and broadband noise-floor performance, for example, as compared with traditional audio-frequency power amplifiers.
Reconfigurable power amplifier
A power amplifier circuit, including: an input node configured to receive a radio frequency (RF) signal; an output node configured to output an amplified RF signal; a main path switchably coupled between the input node and the output node, and including a first plurality of amplification stages to generate a first amplified RF signal; a bypass path switchably coupled between the input node and the output node, and including at least one second amplification stage to generate a second amplified RF signal; and a coupling switch configured to reuse at least a portion of the bypass path to drive the main path to generate a third amplified RF signal.

Compensation method for characteristic difference of photoelectric element
A compensation method for a characteristic difference of a photoelectric element is disclosed. The method includes (S1) providing a test substrate with a connector, a photoelectric element and a plurality of gain units, wherein the plurality of gain units are connected in parallel; (S2) connecting the connector to a test fixture which includes a test resistor and a test control unit, wherein when the test fixture is connected with the connector, the test resistor is electrically connected between the second pin and the third pin; (S3) providing input power to the connector so as to generate a test voltage on the photoelectric element; (S4) selecting the corresponding gain unit according to the test voltage and a classification data table; (S5) driving a production line to connect the first contact and the second contact of the selected gain unit.
Network transceiver with VGA channel specific equalization
A network transceiver device is provided, including at least two variable gain amplifiers (VGAs), and at least two sets of analog digital converters (ADCs), each set including ADCs coupled to an output of one of the VGAs, the sets being arranged in VGA-specific channels. The device includes a plurality of feed-forward equalizers (FFEs), each FFE being coupled to receive an output of one of the ADCs in one of the VGA-specific channels. Each FFE is configured to adaptively equalize the output received from the ADCs utilizing a first equalization coefficient subset with coefficient values that are common to all FFEs, and a second equalization coefficient subset that is channel specific and that has a first set of coefficient values for a first VGA-specific channel and a second set of coefficient values for a second VGA-specific channel, the sets of coefficient values being computed independently.
