Apparatus for transmitting broadcast signals, apparatus for receiving broadcast signals, method for transmitting broadcast signals and method for receiving broadcast signals
A method is provided for transmitting broadcast signals. Service data is encoded. The encoded service data is mapped to symbols onto constellations. Data cells are frequency interleaved in a symbol among the symbols in at least one frame unit using an interleaving sequence. The interleaving sequence is generated based on a main interleaving-sequence and a symbol offset value. The interleaving sequence is generated by operating the main interleaving-sequence with the symbol offset value. The data cells are included in the symbol with a symbol index and a frame unit with a frame unit index. The frequency interleaving of the data cells operates on a frame basis. The frequency interleaving of the data cells is reset when a first frame unit is changed to a second frame unit. Data is modulated in the at least one frame unit by an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) scheme. The broadcast signals carrying the modulated data are transmitted.
DATA STORAGE DEVICE ENCODING AND INTERLEAVING CODEWORDS TO IMPROVE TRELLIS SEQUENCE DETECTION
A data storage device is disclosed comprising a storage medium. Input data is encoded according to at least one channel code constraint to generate first data and second data. The first data is encoded into a first codeword, and the second data is encoded into a second codeword, wherein a first code rate of the first codeword is less than a second code rate of the second codeword. The first codeword and the second codeword are interleaved to generate an interleaved codeword, and the interleaved codeword is written to the storage medium.

SELF-DECODABLE REDUNDANCY VERSIONS FOR LOW-DENSITY PARITY-CHECK CODES
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. In some examples, a wireless device (e.g., a user equipment (UE) or a base station) may encode a codeword from a set of information bits using an LDPC code. The wireless device may then transmit multiple versions of the codeword to improve the chances of the codeword being received. In some aspects, the wireless device may use the techniques herein to generate self-decodable redundancy versions of the codeword to be transmitted to the receiving device. Accordingly, a receiving device may be able to identify information bits from one or more redundancy versions of the codeword even if the receiving device failed to receive an original transmission of the codeword.

The communication control apparatus includes a communication unit configured to communicate with a radio communication apparatus of a radio communication system using interleave division multiple access (IDMA); and a control unit configured to allocate an interleaver type of an interleaver to be used for IDMA by the radio communication apparatus.
TIME VARYING DATA PERMUTATION APPARATUS AND METHODS
Multiple data permutation operations in respective different dimensions are used to provide an overall effective data permutation using smaller blocks of data in each permutation than would be used in directly implementing the overall permutation in a single permutation operation. Data that has been permuted in one permutation operation is block interleaved, and the interleaved data is then permuted in a subsequent permutation operation. A matrix transpose is one example of block interleaving that could be applied between permutation operations.
