Interference Mitigation and Multi-Moment Filtering

Effective radio frequency interference (RFI) mitigation techniques are disclosed for use in wireless communication devices, among others. An RFI mitigation circuit may include a selector circuit to select between a cleaned signal and a clipped signal, and provide the selected signal as an output signal. The RFI mitigation circuit may also include a classifier circuit to generate a control input indication to the selector circuit to have the cleaned signal selected as the output signal based at least on a front-end circuit signal indicating that the front-end circuit is operating linearly and also indicating that the front-end circuit signal includes an interference signal. The classifier circuit may also generate the control input indication to have the clipped signal selected as the output signal based at least on the front-end circuit signal indicating that the front-end circuit is not operating linearly.

A decentralized communication device is provided that facilitates optimal positioning and orientation of one or more antennas for wireless communication with external devices. The decentralized communication device includes one or more master components and one or more slave components. The master and the slave components are physically separate and communicate wirelessly. In some embodiments the slave acts as a carrier frequency translator between the master and an external wireless device, where it communicates with the external device using a first frequency and communicates with the master using a second frequency which is different from the first frequency. In another embodiment the slave has most or all the physical layer to do the digital coding, digital modulation, data framing, data formatting and data packetization for communicating with an external device, in which case digital coding and digital modulation is distributed between the master and the slave.

Mitigating baseband pulse dispersion via radiofrequency-to-baseband conversion

Systems and techniques that facilitate mitigation of baseband pulse distortion via radiofrequency-to-baseband conversion are provided. In various embodiments, a system can comprise a qubit. In various aspects, the system can further comprise a signal generator that can produce a radiofrequency signal. In various instances, the system can further comprise a signal converter coupled between the qubit and the signal generator. In various cases, the signal converter can convert the radiofrequency signal into a baseband signal. In various aspects, such radiofrequency-to-baseband conversion can reduce a dispersion-induced distortion associated with driving the qubit.

Multi-channel, multi-band configurable RF front-end arrangement for wireless communication

An RF front-end system is formed to include tunable frequency converters within the transmit and receive sections of each channel, allowing for conventional, limited-bandwidth wireless devices to transmit and receive a broad range of frequencies. Both the transmit and receive sections use superheterodyne frequency conversion to provide the translation between the limited frequency band associated with conventional wireless devices and wide frequency band (e.g., between about 100 MHz and 7000 MHz) approved for wireless communication. By virtue of using a local oscillator that can be widely tuned over the complete available frequency spectrum, the up-converted signals used for transmission can be expanded over this wider frequency selection.
