Battery pack with electrical connector mechanism that maintains waterproof integrity of portable electronic device
A battery pack for electrically coupling with and securing to a portable electronic device having a device connector and one or more user interface components includes an electronics section and a latch section. The electronics section includes a battery compartment configured to hold one or more batteries and a connector mechanism configured to interconnect with and form a waterproof seal around the device connector. The latch section is pivotably coupled to the base portion and configured to pivot relative to the base portion to transition the battery pack between open and closed states. In the open state, the electronics section and the latch section form an open frame structure configured to enable installation of the portable electronic device in the battery pack. In the closed state, the electronics section and the latch section form a closed frame structure configured to secure the portable electronic device within an opening defined by the closed frame structure.
Electronic Device Having a Sealed Biometric Input System
A portable electronic device may include a housing member defining a side surface of the portable electronic device, a portion of the housing member defining a side wall of a hole extending through the housing member, a button member positioned along the side surface and defining a chassis portion and a hollow post extending into the hole defined through the housing member, and a first waterproof seal defined between the hollow post and the side wall of the hole. The portable electronic device may also include a biometric sensing component coupled to the chassis portion, a flexible circuit element extending through the hollow post and conductively coupling the biometric sensing component to a component within the housing, and a second waterproof seal defined within the hollow post.
PROTECTIVE BAG AND DISPENSER TO MAKE MOBILE DEVICES MORE HYGIENIC
A protective bag into which a mobile device can be placed to limit exposure of the device to unsanitary conditions or conversely to limit exposure of other surfaces to an unsanitary mobile device. The protective bags are distributed to users using a dispenser. The system improves overall hygiene associated with use of mobile devices.
Methods for attaching transmitters to animals
Methods for attaching a radio frequency (RF) transmitter to an animal are provided. The methods can include providing an RF transmitter and providing an injection device having a needle of gauge of 9 or smaller; providing the RF transmitter into the injection device; and providing the RF transmitter through the 9 gauge or smaller needle and into the animal.
WIRELESS COMMUNICATION APPARATUS AND STRUCTURE FOR MOUNTING COMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT
A mounting base (14) is fixed to an antenna (13) or an antenna bracket (15) for supporting the antenna (13). A baseband unit (11) and an RF unit (12) are fixed to the mounting base (14). The baseband unit (11) fixed to the mounting base (14) is disposed to face a back part (132) of the antenna (13) and to form a space between the back part (132) and the first enclosure (111). The RF unit (12) fixed to the mounting base (14) is disposed in the space formed between the back part (132) of the antenna (13) and the baseband unit (11) and is coupled to a waveguide flange (132) of the antenna (13). Thus, for example, in a configuration of a point-to-point wireless apparatus in which an RF unit and a baseband unit are separated, restrictions on installation space of the apparatus can be facilitated.
Portable electronic device
A portable electronic device is provided. The portable electronic device includes a front glass cover that forms the front of the electronic device, a back cover that forms the back of the electronic device, a bezel that surrounds the space formed between the front and back covers and is formed integrally with, or separately from, the back cover, wherein the bezel has a first opening with a first size and a second opening with a second size smaller than the first size, the second opening being disposed adjacent to the first opening, a display device that is located in the space and has a screen area exposed through the front cover, a tray structure that is inserted into the space through the first opening and is detachably mounted, the tray structure having a recess in which a memory card and/or a subscriber identification module (SIM) card is received, a first member that holds the tray structure when the tray structure is inserted into the space and a second member that allows a first member to release the tray structure by the press of an external member that is inserted through the second opening, and a waterproof structure that includes a first portion that is movably inserted into the second opening, a first end portion that makes contact with the second member by the press of the external member, and a second end portion that is pressed by the external member.
Waterproof card holder, card seat, metal casing and mobile terminal
A waterproof card holder includes a card holder frame and a cover plate located at top of the card holder frame. The waterproof card holder includes a sleeve integrated with and extending from an inner side of the cover plate and a through-hole penetrating through the sleeve and the cover plate. A waterproof mechanism is accommodated in the sleeve. The waterproof mechanism includes a main body, a first end portion located inside the sleeve, a second end portion protruding from the sleeve, and a waterproof ring located on a periphery of the main body and close to the first end portion. The waterproof ring and the sleeve form a sliding sealing structure therebetween.
Wireless communication apparatus and structure for mounting communication equipment

Wireless communication device and subscriber identity module card in the wireless communication device
The present invention provides a wireless communication device and a subscriber identity module card in a wireless communication device. The subscriber identity module card comprises a flat plate carrier, a subscriber identity module circuit and a gas sensing chip. The flat plate carrier comprises a first surface where the subscriber identity module circuit is disposed, a second surface where the gas sensing chip is disposed, a through hole, and an electrical contact portion passing through the through hole and extending to reach the first surface and the second surface. The electrical contact portion is electrically connected to the subscriber identity module circuit and the gas sensing chip. The gas sensing chip is disposed on a portion of the subscriber identity module card where not occupied by the subscriber identity module circuit. Thus, the wireless communication device provides gas sensing function without additionally equipping with an external gas sensing element.
