Electronic device with segmented housing having molded splits
The disclosure is directed to a multi-segment housing for an electronic device that includes multiple conductive segments that are structurally coupled by one or more non-conductive housing segments or splits. One or more of the conductive segments may be configured to operate as an antenna and the non-conductive housing segments may provide electrical insulation between the conductive segment and one or more adjacent housing segments. The non-conductive housing segment may be formed from a polymer having an array of fibers dispersed within the polymer. The fibers may be aligned along one or more fiber directions, which may be substantially perpendicular to an exterior surface of the housing.
LIQUID REPELLENT LAMINATE AND PROTECTIVE SHEET FOR DISPLAY
A liquid repellent laminate according to an embodiment includes a transparent substrate having a first principal face and a second principal face as a rear face of the first principal face, and a liquid repellent membrane supported on the first principal face of the transparent substrate. The liquid repellent membrane is a monomolecular membrane of a fluorine-containing organic compound that binds to a surface of the transparent substrate through a binding moiety represented by —Z—O—* (wherein Z represents an atomic group containing a Si atom, and * represents a binding site to the surface of the transparent substrate) and includes a perfluoroalkyl group having 4 or less carbon atoms at a terminal, and the fluorine-containing organic compound undergoes intermolecular bonding between the fluorine-containing organic compounds adjacent to each other by mutual binding of Z in the formula.
BUTTON MECHANISM FOR WATERPROOF HOUSING
An electronic device can include: a housing defining an exterior surface and an internal volume, the exterior surface defining a recess having a base portion and a sidewall, the housing forming a continuous component; a button body positioned within the recess; an emissive object attached to the button body, the emissive object being movable between a first position and a second position and configured to emit electromagnetic radiation; a first sensor positioned within the internal volume and configured to generate a first signal in response to detecting electromagnetic radiation in the first position; a second sensor positioned within the internal volume and configured to generate a second signal; a processor positioned within the internal volume, and in electrical communication with the first sensor and the second sensor; and a memory having electronic instructions that cause the processor to respond to the first signal and the second signal.
Methods for Attaching Transmitters to Animals
Methods for attaching a radio frequency (RF) transmitter to an animal are provided. The methods can include providing an RF transmitter and providing an injection device having a needle of gauge of 9 or smaller; providing the RF transmitter into the injection device; and providing the RF transmitter through the 9 gauge or smaller needle and into the animal.
Protective bag and dispenser to make mobile devices more hygienic
A protective bag into which a mobile device can be placed to limit exposure of the device to unsanitary conditions or conversely to limit exposure of other surfaces to an unsanitary mobile device. The protective bags are distributed to users using a dispenser. The system improves overall hygiene associated with use of mobile devices.
Mobile terminal
A mobile terminal including a window disposed on a front side of the mobile terminal; a display module disposed on a rear side of the window; a cover disposed on a rear side of the mobile terminal; a metallic frame disposed between the window and the cover, the metallic frame including a base portion and an edge portion connected with the base portion; a circuit board disposed in the mobile terminal and including one or more components corresponding to a wireless communication system; a plurality of antennas configured to receive radio signals and including a first radiator and a second radiator separated by a slit in a bottom edge portion of the metallic frame; and a thermal conductive member disposed between the circuit board and the base portion of the metallic frame, the thermal conductive member being configured to transmit heat from the one or more components to the metallic frame. Further, the thermal conductive member contacts a portion of the base portion of the metallic frame to transmit heat from the one or more components, and the circuit board is electrically connected to at least one of the first radiator or the second radiator.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE INCLUDING WATERPROOF PRINTING STRUCTURE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR
An electronic device, according to various embodiments, may comprise: an outer housing comprising a front plate facing a first direction, a rear plate facing a direction opposite to the front plate, and a side member for surrounding a space between the front plate and the rear plate, wherein the side member protrudes toward the space and includes a protrusion having a first surface facing the first direction; an opaque layer disposed in the space so as to be parallel with the front plate and including a first portion located between the first surface and the front plate, wherein the first portion includes a second surface facing the first surface; an adhesiveness improvement layer formed on the second surface of the opaque layer and having a repetitive pattern; and a waterproof layer disposed between the adhesiveness improvement layer and the first surface and attached to the adhesiveness improvement layer and the first surface. Other various embodiments may be possible.
WIRELESS COMMUNICATION APPARATUS AND STRUCTURE FOR MOUNTING COMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT
A mounting base (14) is fixed to an antenna (13) or an antenna bracket (15) for supporting the antenna (13). A baseband unit (11) and an RF unit (12) are fixed to the mounting base (14). The baseband unit (11) fixed to the mounting base (14) is disposed to face a back part (132) of the antenna (13) and to form a space between the back part (132) and the first enclosure (111). The RF unit (12) fixed to the mounting base (14) is disposed in the space formed between the back part (132) of the antenna (13) and the baseband unit (11) and is coupled to a waveguide flange (132) of the antenna (13). Thus, for example, in a configuration of a point-to-point wireless apparatus in which an RF unit and a baseband unit are separated, restrictions on installation space of the apparatus can be facilitated.
Waterproof card holder and metal casing
A waterproof card holder includes a card holder frame, a cover plate, a sleeve integrated with and extending from an inside of the cover plate, and a waterproof mechanism in the sleeve. A through-hole of the sleeve penetrates through the sleeve and cover plate. The waterproof mechanism includes a first end portion limited inside the sleeve, a second end portion having an outer diameter smaller than that of the first end portion, and a waterproof ring sleeved on a periphery of the first end portion and forming a sliding sealing structure with the sleeve. The sleeve includes first and second openings respectively disposed at two ends of a sleeve body. The first end portion is limited to be only movable within a stroke between the first and second openings. The second end portion being capable of passing through a first opening to be in contact with a card retracting mechanism.
