Snap-on triaxial cable balun and method for tuned trapping of RF current
Apparatus and method for trapping RF on shields of a multiply shielded RF cable. In some embodiments, the RF trap shorts an outer conductor shield to an inner shield conductor of the cable successively at selected locations along an end length of the shield conductors. Some embodiments provide an RF-trap apparatus for blocking stray signals on a shielded RF cable that has two or more concentric peripheral shield conductors separated from one another by one or more electrically insulating layers, and at least one inner conductor for carrying RF signals. The RF trap apparatus includes: a first housing; and a plurality of projections configured be coupled to the first housing and to move to selectively electrically connect an outer shield conductor to an inner shield conductor by a pierce operation on the shielded RF cable.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TRANSITIONING BETWEEN ELECTROMAGNETIC WAVE MODES
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, a system that facilitates detecting first electromagnetic waves propagating along a transmission medium are experiencing a first propagation loss, inducing second electromagnetic waves along the transmission medium to mitigate the first propagation loss, detecting that the second electromagnetic waves are experiencing a second propagation loss and inducing third electromagnetic waves along the transmission medium to mitigate the second propagation loss. To reduce radiation losses when transitioning from the first electromagnetic waves to second electromagnetic waves and transitioning from the second electromagnetic waves to the third electromagnetic waves, the system can be further adapted to use differing criteria for each transition. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Communication harness, communication harness set, and relay connector
A communication harness is used for mutual data transmission by differential transmission between at least two electronic devices. The communication harness includes a cable, a first signal line, a second signal line, and a first ground line. The first signal line is surrounded by the cable and transmits a first signal for differential transmission. The second signal line is surrounded by the cable and transmits a second signal for differential transmission. The first ground line is surrounded by the cable. A supply voltage is superposed on the first signal line.
TRANSIENT NOISE REDUCTION FILTERING SYSTEM
A transient noise reduction filter comprises a cable including one or more twisted pairs of conductors and one or more common mode chokes (CMCs). The one or more CMCs a formed from respective pluralities of turns of the cable. Each of the CMCs may be a magnetic CMC wherein the plurality of turns of the cable are wrapped around a magnetic core, or an air-core CMC wherein the plurality of turns of the cable are not wrapped around a magnetic core but are instead disposed around a non-magnetic material (such as air)
MINIMIZING DC BIAS VOLTAGE DIFFERENCE ACROSS AC-BLOCKING CAPACITORS IN PODL SYSTEM
A PoDL system that uses a center-tapped transformer, for galvanic isolation of the PHY, has AC-coupling capacitors in series between the transmission wires and the transformer's secondary windings for blocking DC voltages generated by a PSE power supply. The center tap is conventionally connected to ground. As a result, one capacitor sees the full VPSE voltage across it, and the other capacitor sees approximately 0V across it. Since the effective value of a ceramic capacitor significantly reduces with increasing DC bias voltages across it, the effective values of the capacitors will be very different, resulting in unbalanced data paths. This can lead to conversion of common mode noise and corrupt the data. To avoid this, a resistor divider is used to generate VPSE/2, and this voltage is applied to the center tap of the transformer. Therefore, the DC voltage across each capacitor is approximately VPSE/2, so their values remain equal.
Electrical signal transmission cable system and method of using same
Electrical signal transmission cable systems and methods of using the same are disclosed. The systems and methods use an electrical signal transmission cable system, wherein the electrical signal transmission cable system includes a parallel set of electrical signal transmission cables in electrical communication between an electrical signal transmitting device and an electrical signal receiving device.
AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM
An air conditioning system includes an outdoor unit and an indoor unit connected to the outdoor unit through an air conditioning communication line. The outdoor unit includes: a control unit; a compressor; a fan; a compressor inverter; a fan inverter; a heat exchanger; and valves of various types. The control unit of the outdoor unit has a coupling capacitor and a noise-cutting transformer which are between a communication circuit and the air conditioning communication line.
MITIGATION OF ELECTROMAGNETIC INTERFERENCE IN ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION
A method of transmitting an electronic message may include identifying a first bit in a data message to be transmitted. The first bit may have a binary value. The method may also include transmitting, in response to the identifying, a first signal corresponding to the binary value over a second message channel. The method may also include transmitting, in response to the identifying, a second signal corresponding to the inverse of the binary value.
