Information prompting bracelet and information prompting system

The present disclosure relates to an information prompting bracelet and an information prompting system. The information prompting bracelet includes: a flexible substrate, a connecting portion, control portions, pressure levers and an elastic deformation portion. When the control portions receive promoting information, they will control the pressure levers to move towards the side facing the flexible substrate. With the movement of the pressure levers, the elastic deformation portion will be squeezed towards the middle region, so that the distance between the inner surface of the elastic deformation portion at the middle region and the inside of the flexible substrate after squeezing will be larger than the distance between the inner surfaces of the pressure levers and the inside of the flexible substrate when in an initial position. In this way, this will bring the wearer a sense of pressure to notify the wearer that there is a prompting signal needing to be received.

Method and apparatus for transmitting electromagnetic waves

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, an apparatus including a waveguide, an antenna, and a transmitter. The transmitter can facilitate transmission of first electromagnetic waves via the antenna, the first electromagnetic waves having a fundamental mode. The waveguide can facilitate propagation of the first electromagnetic waves at least in part on a surface of the waveguide. The waveguide can be positioned at a location that enables the first electromagnetic waves to induce second electromagnetic waves having fundamental and non-fundamental modes that propagate on a surface of a transmission medium. Other embodiments are disclosed.

A haptic feedback device including a dual coil linear solenoid is provided. The dual coil linear solenoid construction provides a sense of a pulling force in an opposite direction from a pushing force sensed in the player's hand. A dynamic current source for each coil is disposed to generate dynamic magnetic flux in each coil, whereby a dynamic bi-directional force is exerted on the plunger. A plunger position controller controls the position of the plunger, whereby the plunger position controller applies a dynamic bi-directional force on the plunger to move the plunger to a target position based on the current position of the plunger detected by a plunger position sensor. The haptic feedback device is incorporated into a game controller. Video or arcade games incorporating the feedback device are also disclosed.

Skin stretch instrument

A sensor records information about skin stretch perceived by a user based on an interaction with a real object. The sensor includes a mechanical housing configured to be worn on a finger of a user, and a mechanism coupled to the mechanical housing. The mechanism includes a first bearing that rotates in a first direction in response to an interaction with a surface. The mechanism also includes a second bearing coupled to the first bearing, such that rotation of the first bearing causes the second bearing to rotate in a direction opposite to the first direction. The second bearing is in contact with a portion of the finger, and includes a feedback surface that simulates a force associated with the interaction with the surface. The sensor includes a controller configured to monitor rotation of the second bearing and record skin stretch information responsive to the interaction with the surface.
