SIGNAL TRANSMISSION DEVICE AND SIGNAL TRANSMISSION SYSTEM
A signal transmission device includes a communication unit that is connected to an electronic device by a signal wiring and performs communication with the electronic device via the signal wiring, a signal processing unit that performs signal processing related to the communication, a power supply unit that supplies direct current to the electronic device via the signal wiring, and a filter circuit connected between the signal wiring and the power supply unit. The filter circuit includes a plurality of filters having frequency characteristics different from each other, and the signal processing unit acquires communication quality information indicating quality of the communication in at least two or more frequency bands, and determines a state of the filter circuit based on the communication quality information.
Ray tracing technique for wireless channel measurements
The computer-implemented method includes simulating, by a processor, using an electromagnetic solver including ray launching or ray tracing, multiple rays that reach a vicinity of a receiver of a wireless channel, determining locations of interactions of the rays with an environment of the wireless channel, post-processing, using one or more of the multiple rays, information about received signal at the receiver to obtain temporal variations therein, and determining a characteristic of the wireless channel using results of the post-processing.

Method for locating and repairing intermittent faults in communication structures of an aircraft
To locate an intermittent fault in a communication structure of an aircraft comprising pieces of equipment that are interconnected by cabling forming a plurality of communication media that are shared, an analyzer retrieves an error report relating to transmission errors observed on each of said communication media, performs a count of the transmission errors, per type of error and per communication chain, computes a median of the counts for communication chains comprising the same pair of wired pieces of equipment, and when, for a communication chain, the count exceeds a threshold equal to the median plus a predefined margin, generates an alarm indicating detection of an intermittent fault in association with the communication chain that led the threshold to be exceeded. Thus, intermittent faults are easily located and repaired.
Variable PLC attenuator and amplifier
A system for controlling a level of communication signals broadcast onto an associated power line communication (PLC) network by an associated transmitting device includes an input circuit, an adjustable amplifier circuit, and an output circuit. The input circuit receives a first communication signal having a first signal level from the associated transmitting device. The adjustable amplifier circuit applies a selectable gain to the first communication signal based on one or more of a monitored condition of the associated vehicle and/or a monitored condition of the associated PLC network to generate a level-adjusted communication signal having a second signal level different than the first signal level of the first communication signal. The output circuit receives the level-adjusted communication signal and broadcasts the level-adjusted communication signal onto the associated PLC network.

METHOD FOR DETERMINING AN INVERSE IMPULSE RESPONSE OF A COMMUNICATION CHANNEL
A method for determining an inverse impulse response of a communication channel by means of a PAM receiver comprises the following method steps: switching on the PAM receiver; if a second PAM transceiver is switched on, setting a difference between a clock frequency of the data signal and a sampling frequency of the first PAM transceiver; comparing a symbol that is output by the interpreter with a state that is supplied to the interpreter, and outputting an error value, wherein in each case a symbol associated with a sampling clock is compared with a state associated with the same sampling clock; adapting m filter coefficients of the equalizer to minimize error values; repeating the third method step and the fourth method step until an error limit value is reached.
COMMUNICATION DEVICE AND OPERATING METHOD THEREOF
A communication device is disclosed. The present communication device may include a master including a communication modem, and multiple slaves including antennas. The communication device may execute an artificial intelligence (AI) algorithm and/or a machine learning algorithm, and may communicate with other electronic devices in a 5G communication environment. Therefore, user convenience can be enhanced.
ARC FAULT DETECTION AND PROTECTION IN A DIGITAL ELECTRICITY POWER DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM
Arc fault protection for a digital electricity distribution system that provides power to a device. The system includes an arc fault circuit interrupter (“AFCI”) and a controller. The controller is connected to the AFCI. The controller is operable to control the AFCI to disable power to the device. The controller includes a processor and a memory. The controller is configured to transmit a digital electricity energy packet through the AFCI to the device, measure an amount of error associated with the digital electricity energy packet, evaluate the amount of error associated with the digital electricity energy packet, determine whether an arc fault condition is present based on the evaluation of the amount of error associated with the digital electricity energy packet, and control the AFCI to disable power to the device when the arc fault condition is determined to be present.
