COEXISTENCE PRIMITIVES IN POWER LINE COMMUNICATION NETWORKS
Systems and methods for setting a carrier-sensing mechanism in a PLC node are disclosed. In a PLC standard, coexistence is achieved by having the nodes detect a common preamble and backing off by a Coexistence InterFrame Space (cEIFS) time period to help the node to avoid interfering with the other technologies. In one embodiment, a PHY primitive is sent from the PHY to the MAC know that there has been a preamble detection. A two-level indication may be usedone indication after receiving the preamble and other indication after decoding the entire frame. The MAC sets the carrier-sensing mechanism based on the preamble detection.
Secure communication system and method for impedance injection modules distributed on HV transmission lines
Intelligent impedance injection modules (IIM)s are currently being used for line balancing and overcoming local disturbances on High Voltage (HV) transmission lines of an HV power grid. These distributed IIMs are connected and/or coupled to the HV transmission lines and operate with a pseudo ground at the voltage of the HV transmission line. In order to operate effectively, the IIMs need to communicate with other distributed IIMs across the three phases of the HV grid and also communicate with local intelligent centers LINCs that connect to and synchronize operations across each group of the distributed IIMs in a local region of the HV power grid. Systems and methods are presented for effective and secure sub-cyclic speed communication to and from the distributed IIMs, distributed IIMs to LINCs and substations to enable coordinated actions. Further the distributed IIMs and LINCs receive GPS signals and use the GPS clock for synchronizing operations.
POWER LINE COMMUNICATION-BASED PAIRING METHOD AND DEVICE FOR AIR CONDITIONER, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A power line communication-based pairing method and device for an air conditioner, and a storage medium are provided. Based on a pairing request instruction, A CCO module on an indoor side selects an STA module to be paired, in a power line network, for use as a pairing object. The CCO module sends pairing request information to the power line network. The STA module receives the pairing request information. If the STA module determines that identification information thereof exists in the pairing request information, the STA module establishes a pairing relationship with the CCO module. The STA module sends pairing feedback information to the power line network. The CCO module receives the pairing feedback information. If the CCO module determines that the identification information thereof exists in the pairing feedback information, the CCO module determines that the pairing is successful and establishes a pairing relationship with the STA module.
Domain Establishment Method
A network node includes a pushbutton to provide a button-press event and a pairer to receive the button-press event while not being in a secure domain. In response to the button-press, the pairer alternates between acting as an endpoint node and acting as a temporary domain master, until pairing is completed. In an alternative embodiment, the node includes a multi-pairer to receive the button press event and, in response, to open a pairing window, to become a domain master of a secure network and to join more than one other network node receiving a button press event to the secure network until the pairing window closes.
System and method for establishing communication with an array of inverters
A system and method for establishing communication between a controller and a plurality of inverters comprises determining a response time window length and broadcasting a response request to the array of inverters that includes the response time window length. Each inverter, in response to receiving the response requests, transmits a response to the controller at a randomly determined response time within the response time window. In response to receiving an acknowledgement from the controller, the responding inverter may ignore subsequent response requests. The controller may adjust the response time window and broadcasts the new response time window until no inverter response is received for a pre-determined number of response time windows.
Installation and support method including a tower crane for supporting a high-voltage line electric cable
A support installation includes support members for supporting an electric cable, a tower crane, a mast and a jib linked to an upper portion of the mast. The jib and the mast respectively extend according to a jib direction and a substantially vertical mast direction. The support members are secured to the jib and disposed at a plurality of locations distant according to the jib direction. The support members extend transversally to the jib direction to protrude laterally from the jib. The jib is cantilevered when the support installation is in the service configuration.
Method and device for running push-button configuration sessions
A method and a network node device run Push-Button Configuration sessions within a heterogeneous network, IEEE 1905.1, using a push button configuration mechanism that ensures that only one single new network node device is registered for a single push button key press event and thus overlapping Push-Button Configuration sessions within a heterogeneous network are prevented. After finishing the push button configuration mode, the number of new nodes is checked. If more than one node has been added, a configuration roll-back is performed. Preferably, the push button configuration roll-back is performed as soon as the authentication of more than one distinct node has been detected. The roll-back includes the deletion or deactivation of credentials established by the push-button configuration.
Domain establishment, registration and resignation via a push button mechanism
A network node includes a pushbutton to provide a button-press event and a pairer to receive the button-press event while not being in a secure domain. In response to the button-press, the pairer alternates between acting as an endpoint node and acting as a temporary domain master, until pairing is completed. In an alternative embodiment, the node includes a multi-pairer to receive the button press event and, in response, to open a pairing window, to become a domain master of a secure network and to join more than one other network node receiving a button press event to the secure network until the pairing window closes.
SYSTEM, METHOD AND ARTICLE FOR ADAPTIVE FRAMING FOR TDMA MAC PROTOCOLS
A device includes an interface and Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) Medium Access Control (MAC) circuitry coupled to the interface. The TDMA MAC circuitry detects a beacon in a frame having a defined frame duration and determines a frame compensation value based on a start time of the frame, a reference start time of the frame, and a number of elapsed frames. A current frame duration value is determined based on the frame compensation value and the defined frame duration.
DATA CENTER MANAGEMENT USING DEVICE IDENTIFICATION OVER POWER-LINE
In one embodiment, a first device (e.g., a host device or power distribution unit) stores identification information of the first device, and determines, over a power connection, when the first device is in powered connectivity with a second device (e.g., a power distribution unit or host device, respectively). The first device may then communicate, with the second device over the power connection, identification information of at least one of either the first or second device, where the communicated identification information is accessible to a third device (e.g., a server) via a data network due to the communicating over the power connection. In another embodiment, a server may determine, based on the identification information, a physical location of a power distribution unit, and may deduce, based on the physical location of the power distribution unit, that a host device is physically located at the physical location of the power distribution unit.
