Method for processing a signal coming from a transmission channel

A method is for processing a channel analog signal coming from a transmission channel. The method may include converting the channel analog signal into a channel digital signal, and detecting a state of the transmission channel based on the channel digital signal to detect whether the transmission channel is, over an interval of time, one or more of linear and time invariant and linear and cyclostationary.

MOBILITY PLATFORM BASED NON-CONTACT VOLTAGE DETECTOR

A non-contact voltage detector module pluggable to a mobile communication device. The non-contact voltage comprises an antenna, a connector configured for connecting to a connector of a mobile communication device, and an assembly coupled to the antenna and the connector. The assembly converts an electromagnetic field received by the antenna to an indication of a strength of the electromagnetic field and transmits the indication of the strength of the electromagnetic field via the connector.

Method of preventing priority inversion in power line communication, recording medium and apparatus for performing the same

A method of preventing priority inversion in power line communication includes generating a priority notification signal of each node in order to prioritize a packet transmitted by each of the nodes, decreasing carrier detection threshold value of a prioritization section in the priority notification signal of each of the nodes, increasing transmission power level of the prioritization section in the priority notification signal of each of the nodes, transmitting the priority notification signal generated by each of the nodes, prioritizing the nodes by comparing the prioritization sections of the priority notification signals, and preferentially transmitting a packet of a node with a higher priority. This can solve a priority inversion problem between signals in a network to safely transmit signals without collisions and latency.

POWER AMPLIFIER WITH SUPPLY SWITCHING

A power amplifier with supply switching is provided. The power amplifier detects a magnitude of an outgoing broadband communication signal and determines whether the magnitude exceeds a predetermined voltage threshold. The power amplifier applies a first gain to the outgoing broadband communication signal using a first voltage supply rail when it is determined that the magnitude exceeds the predetermined voltage threshold and a second gain using a second voltage supply rail that is smaller than the first voltage supply rail when it is determined that the magnitude does not exceed the predetermined voltage threshold. The power amplifier produces an output signal from the outgoing broadband communication signal with the applied first gain or the applied second gain, wherein a current of the outgoing broadband communication signal is switched between the first voltage supply rail and the second voltage supply rail in response to the magnitude being detected.

Interference Detection and Mitigation in Power Line Communication

A Power-Line Communication (PLC) receiver has a filter, a time domain processor, a frequency-domain processor, and a forward-error-correction decoder. A narrow-band frequency detector attached to the frequency-domain processor examines the frequency-domain signal for a highest-power sub-carrier frequency. This highest power is compared to an average power of all other sub-carriers and a narrow-band interferer is detected when the highest power is significantly above the average. When the interferer is detected N times in a time period, a control layer adds this sub-carrier frequency to a removed list and recalculates filter coefficients to add a notch filter at the frequencies of the removed list. Updated filter coefficients are loaded into the filter to implement notch filters. When the current power of a sub-carrier signal on the removed list falls significantly below the average power, the sub-carrier is deleted from the removed list and coefficients recalculated to remove the notch filter.

Method and devices for running push-button configuration sessions

A method and a network node device run Push-Button Configuration sessions within a heterogeneous network, IEEE 1905.1, using a push button configuration mechanism that ensures that only one single new network node device is registered for a single push button key press event and thus overlapping Push-Button Configuration sessions within a heterogeneous network are prevented. After finishing the push button configuration mode, the number of new nodes is checked. If more than one node has been added, a configuration roll-back is performed. Preferably, the push button configuration roll-back is performed as soon as the authentication of more than one distinct node has been detected. The roll-back includes the deletion or deactivation of credentials established by the push-button configuration.

A method and an apparatus for coordinating multiple power line networks are provided. The method includes: obtaining, by a central coordinator of a first power line network of multiple power line networks, signaling timeslot information of a second power line network; and determining, according to the signaling timeslot information, whether a predetermined signaling timeslot of the first power line network conflicts with a signaling timeslot of the second power line network, and if the predetermined signaling timeslot conflicts with the signaling timeslot of the second power line network, determining, according to a predetermined backoff rule, a contention-free timeslot as a signaling timeslot of the first power line network. Signaling timeslots of different networks can be staggered as sequential as possible, which ensures non-confliction of the signaling timeslots, thereby avoiding signal interference and attenuation in a shared network.
