SYNCHRONIZATION OF POWER SUPPLY DEVICES
Examples relate to communicating synchronization information from a satellite to a power supply device to enable time synchronization between the satellite and the power supply device. The power supply device includes a port to receive, from a modulator, a modulated current corresponding to a power consumption across a dummy load, where a level pattern of the modulated current indicates the synchronization information received from the satellite. The power supply device includes a power consumption analyzer configured to receive a modulated voltage, across a shunt resistor, corresponding to the modulated current and recover, from the modulated voltage, the synchronization information.
Programmable power supplies for cellular base stations and related methods of reducing power loss in cellular systems
Methods of powering a radio that is mounted on a tower of a cellular base station are provided in which a direct current (“DC”) power signal is provided to the radio over a power cable and a voltage level of the output of the power supply is adjusted so as to provide a substantially constant voltage at a first end of the power cable that is remote from the power supply. Related cellular base stations and programmable power supplies are also provided.
Method and system for power supply control
A system and apparatus comprise at least one power supply connected to a terminal bloc, an I/O system configured to receive instructions provided to the control system, a control block connected to the I/O system wherein the instructions provided to the I/O system are converted to a serial output; and a puck connected to the serial output and configured to receive power from the terminal block, to process the serial output, and to output a current.
ELECTRIC SHAVER WITH IMAGING CAPABILITY
System and method for improving the shaving experience by providing improved visibility of the skin shaving area. A digital camera is integrated with the electric shaver for close image capturing of shaving area, and displaying it on a display unit. The display unit can be integral part of the electric shaver casing, or housed in a separated device which receives the image via a communication channel. The communication channel can be wireless (using radio, audio or light) or wired, such as dedicated cabling or using powerline communication. A light source is used to better illuminate the shaving area. Video compression and digital image processing techniques are used for providing for improved shaving results. The wired communication medium can simultaneously be used also for carrying power from the electric shaver assembly to the display unit, or from the display unit to the electric shaver.
SYSTEM AND METHODS OF EMPLOYING DATA OVER POWER IN AIRCRAFT
A system and method is provided for data over power in an aircraft that includes a direct current power source for providing power over power lines to devices onboard the aircraft and a data injector coupled to the power lines for digitally modulating radio frequency data onto twisted pair data over power lines to provide data and power to the devices. A controller is coupled to the direct current power source and the data injector for providing the data to digitally modulate the radio frequency onto the twisted pair data over power lines such that power for the devices onboard the aircraft and data for control of the device onboard the aircraft are provided to the devices onboard the aircraft over the twisted pair data over power lines.

It comprises: a dual-cavity main frame, cast in one piece and sectioned into an upper cavity and a lower cavity; a hardline entry cover, having a hardline receptacle PCB with a power supply fixed thereon, electrically and environmentally sealing on one side of the upper cavity; a tap plate cover, having a tap plate PCB fixed thereon and mounted with a plurality of taps, electrically and environmentally sealing on the other side of the upper cavity with the taps facing externally; a gain module heatsink cover, having a gain module PCB and a passive PCB fixed thereon, electrically and environmentally sealing on one side of the lower cavity; and a smart app accessories cover, having a smart access cover PCB fixed thereon, electrically and environmentally sealing on the other side of the lower cavity.
SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING POWERLINE COMMUNICATION OVER FLEXIBLE MESH FOR CIRCUIT DESIGN USED IN BIOMETRIC MONITORING
A system for providing powerline communication over flexible mesh for circuit design used in biometric monitoring is disclosed. In particular, the system provides for the transmission of power and data over the same circuit infrastructure, and integrates the ability to transfer data over an infrastructure that also transmits power. Notably, the system facilitates the integration of data over power in flexible systems, such as systems incorporating flexible mesh sensors and flexible geometric systems. The dual use of power infrastructure reduces weight and increases flexibility and potential sensor density. The systems use of data over power significantly reduces or eliminates the needs for a standalone data bus, thereby reducing the design complexity of the circuit.
PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEM AND COMMUNICATION METHOD THEREFOR
A photovoltaic system and a communication method therefor. The communication method includes: each slave sends a report signal to a host, and monitors a response signal of the host; and if the at least one slave receives the response signal, the corresponding slave executes a corresponding action on the basis of the response signal. Therefore, communication between the host and each slave is achieved in a mode that each slave actively sends the report signal, the host is prevented from adopting a roll call query mode, and occupation of bus resources by the host is reduced.
Powerline communication controller for communications between a vehicle and a trailer
A communication interface that facilitates communications over powerlines between a trailer and a vehicle. The communication interface includes a housing having first contact and a second contact accessible from an exterior of the housing. The first contact is electrically coupled to the second contact via a powerline that connects an electrical system of the vehicle with an electrical system of the trailer. The communication interface includes a powerline communication controller having a first set of terminals coupled to a first connector and a second set of terminals coupled to the powerline. The powerline communication controller is configured to receive a first signal from a device of the trailer that indicates a condition regarding a defined region of the trailer. The powerline communication controller is configured to generate, based on the first signal, a second signal representative of the condition, and introduce the second signal onto the first power signal.
SYSTEMS FOR LOW POWER DISTRIBUTION IN A POWER DISTRIBUTION NETWORK
Systems for low power distribution in a power distribution network (PDN) contemplate using multiple low-power conductors to convey power from a power source to a remote sub-unit. The multiple conductors are isolated from one another to help prevent overcurrent conditions in a fault condition. In a first exemplary aspect, the isolation is provided by galvanic isolation. In a second exemplary aspect, the isolation is provided by diodes at the remote sub-units. Further, current sensors may be used at the power source to detect if any of the multiple low-power conductors are carrying current above a defined threshold current. By providing one or more of these safety features, a multiplexer may not be needed at the remote sub-unit, thus providing cost savings while preserving the desired safety features.
