A system and method for detecting, using a sensor, an initiation event; capturing, using a camera, an image of a user's face responsive to the initiation event; activating, responsive to facial recognition and a determination based on one of exposure data associated with the user and the absence thereof that the user has not exceed a safe use standard for ultraviolet light, an ultraviolet source; the ultraviolet source and an activation duration sufficient to sanitize a surface located within a compartment. In one embodiment, visually presenting, by a display, a plurality of graphic elements associated with a plurality of potential content for presentation to the user; and presenting user selected content to the user when the ultraviolet source is activated and responsive to determining a user's selection, wherein the user's selection is made touch-lessly.

Methods and systems for neural stimulation via visual, auditory and peripheral nerve stimulations

Systems and methods of the present disclosure are directed to systems and methods for treating cognitive dysfunction in a subject in need thereof. The system can include a light source and a speaker. A visual neural stimulation system provides, via the light source, visual stimulation having a first value of a first parameter. An auditory neural stimulation system provides, via the speaker, audio stimulation having a second value of the second parameter. A stimuli orchestration component selects, for a first time interval, one of the visual stimulation or the audio stimulation to vary based on a policy, selects, for the first time interval, the other of the visual stimulation or the audio stimulation to keep constant based on the policy, and provides causes the one of the visual neural stimulation system or the auditory neural stimulation system to vary the one of the visual stimulation or the audio stimulation.

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR INDUCING IMPROVEMENT OF CEREBRAL CIRCULATION
20200206526 · 2020-07-02 ·

The present disclosure relates to a device and method for inducing improvement of cerebral circulation by using light energy, i.e., photo-innervated neuro-stimulation (PINS), and stimulating nerve endings distributed in the epidermis or dermis located below a skin surface in an area corresponding to the carotid artery or an area corresponding to the vertebral artery of the cervix so that blood vessels (vascular muscles) in the brain are relaxed.

The present disclosure can be utilized in treating or preventing vascular dementia and Alzheimer's disease, which are caused by the lack of cerebral circulation, and various other brain-related diseases, such as stroke, migraine, depression, and Parkinson's disease, and improving learning ability, memory, and concentration.

The radiation source produces combined radiation, the combined radiation being for a thymine base and a cytosine base in a thymine and cytosine base pair. The radiation source produces combined radiation, the combined radiation being for a guanine base and a thymine base in a guanine and thymine base pair. The radiation source produces combined radiation, the combined radiation being for an adonine base and a guanine base in an adonine and guanine base pair. The radiation source produces combined radiation, the combined radiation being for an adonine base and a cytosine base in an adonine and cytosine base pair.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR GENERATING A DOSE DISTRIBUTION

A system for generating a dose distribution is provided. The system may obtain a first dose distribution in at least a portion of a subject. The system may also obtain a trained machine learning model. The system may further generate, based on the first dose distribution and the trained machine learning model, a second dose distribution in the at least a portion of the subject, wherein the second dose distribution has a higher accuracy than that of the first dose distribution.

Systems and Methods for Treating a Biological Fluid with Light in the Event of a Bulb Outage

Methods and systems for treating a biological fluid with light are disclosed. The methods and systems include determining the light dose being delivered to a biological fluid and adjusting the duration of a treatment or the intensity of light emitted in the event of a detected light source outage.

SKIN TREATMENT APPARATUS UTILISING INTENSE PULSED LIGHT (IPL)
20200179048 · 2020-06-11 ·

The present invention relates to an apparatus for treating skin by means of intense pulsed light (IPL). Such apparatus may be used for the treatment of, for example, cosmetic purposes such as hair depilation or dermatological treatment of skin conditions such as acne or rosacea. The present invention provides an improved apparatus that can be used by a non-medical practitioner and comprises a light source comprising a light emitting element for transmitting light energy to the skin and a charge storage device for discharging an energy dose to the light emitting element. There is further provided at least one sensor for measuring a parameter of the skin and a control system configured to determine the treatment energy dose to be delivered. This treatment energy dose is de-rived using the sensor measurement and means of reduction in unwanted time delay associated with charging or discharging of the charge storage device in sole dependence on the current or most recently measured skin parameter.
