The adjusting unit receives the control signal, and orients, based on the control signal, the optical component to direct the laser beam to acupuncture points on the body part individually.

The computerized method also detects differences in skin color to determine treatment areas. The computerized method also measures the distance of the laser therapy device to a treatment area. The microprocessor executes instructions then which can alter the output of the laser diodes or generate an alarm signal based on measurements received.
