Light Treatment Device
A handheld light treatment device that aims to provide a wide variety of uses in personal care and household cleaning. The device contains a panel with light sources positioned behind a translucent or transparent head plate, to which is attachable an applicator disc and, optionally, applicator disc attachments with selected functionalities. The light panel shines light of different frequencies that may be useful for cleaning and sanitizing various surfaces. The applicator disc and applicator disc attachments have a substantially translucent or transparent base, allowing light from the light sources to shine through the head plate as well as applicator disc and applicator disc attachment, and the applicator disc to rotate while the light panel remains fixed. The applicator disc and applicator disc attachments may have bristles or other surface elements to facilitate cleaning or other uses, and the device may dispense an ingredient.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR IRRADIATING A SURFACE WITH LIGHT
An apparatus and method is provided for irradiating a portion of a patient's scalp with light. The apparatus includes a source of light including one or more wavelengths in a range of about 630 nanometers to about 1064 nanometers. The apparatus further includes an output optical element in optical communication with the source. The output optical element includes an emission surface configured to emit a light beam having a cross-sectional area greater than about 2 cm.sup.2 at the emission surface of the output optical element and having a time-averaged irradiance in a range of about 10 mW/cm.sup.2 to about 10 W/cm.sup.2 across the cross-sectional area. The apparatus further includes a thermally conductive portion configured to be placed in thermal communication with the irradiated portion of the patient's scalp and to remove heat from the irradiated portion of the patient's scalp at a rate in a range of about 0.1 Watt to about 5 Watts.

An LED exterior luminaire comprising light-emitting diodes (LEDs) with a circadian-adjustable light output mode for its medical safety comprises at least two switchable LED chip chains I and III, wherein chain I comprising at least one LED chip emitting orange light from a wavelength range of 580 nm to 610 nm and at least one LED chip emitting red light from a wavelength range of 610 nm to 700 nm, chain III comprising at least one blue LED chip overlaid with a luminophore emitting a continuous band spectrum of visible light from a wavelength range of 440 nm to 700 nm and a correlated color temperature CCT of 2200 to 4200 K, wherein chains I and III are each separately connected to a power source via a dimming ballast that regulates the proportion of input current to each chain separately.
Neoadjuvant therapy for bladder cancer
This invention relates to a neoadjuvant therapy for bladder cancer in bladder cancer patients who are scheduled for a cystectomy and methods of carrying out such a neoadjuvant therapy. In particular, the invention relates to a composition comprising hexyl 5-ALA ester (HAL) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof for use in a neoadjuvant therapy for bladder cancer in a bladder cancer patient who is scheduled for a cystectomy, the therapy comprises instilling said composition into the bladder of said patient and exposing the inside of said bladder to light.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR NEURAL STIMULATION VIA VISUAL STIMULATION
Systems and methods of the present disclosure are directed to systems and methods for treating cognitive dysfunction in a subject in need thereof. The system can include eyeglasses, a photodiode positioned to detect ambient light, light sources, and an input device. The system can include a neural stimulation system that retrieves a profile and selects a light pattern having a fixed parameter and a variable parameter. The neural stimulation system can set a value of the variable parameter of the light pattern, construct an output signal, and then provide the output signal to the light sources to direct light towards the fovea.

METHOD OF USING PHOTON MODULATION FOR REGULATION OF HORMONES IN MAMMALS
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide systems, apparatuses and methods for regulation hormone production in mammals. Examples include but are not limited to by creating electro-magnetic wave emission pulse trains (photons) of individual color spectrums in sufficient intensity to drive hormone production in a mammal, using a characteristic frequency or pattern to minimize the required input power necessary to regulate hormone production, while also allowing for the monitoring of the power consumption and other variables of the system. By controlling the duty cycle, intensity, wavelength band and frequency of photon signals to a mammal, production of specific hormones can be regulated through the cycling between blue, green, yellow, near-red, far-red, infrared and ultra violet photon modulation.
PHOTOBIOMODULATION THERAPY SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Photobiomodulation therapy systems provide a highly effective way to treat many common ailments to the human body. Many embodiments described herein enable two or more light therapy devices to be communicatively coupled together in various ways. In some embodiments, the light therapy system includes a first light device and a second light device arranged and configured to be communicatively coupled to the first light device. Each of the light devices may include a housing, a communication module, and a plurality of lights arranged and configured to emit at least one of red light and near infrared light.
