BEAMFORMING METHOD AND APPARATUS THEREFOR
The present disclosure relates to a 5G or pre-5G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate than a 4G communication system such as LTE. An embodiment of the present specification relates to an apparatus and a method for MIMO transmission and reception in a closed-loop beamforming system. A communication method of a base station, according to one embodiment of the present invention, may comprise the steps of: transmitting information for channel measurement to a terminal; receiving channel-related information from the terminal; transmitting a first symbol via at least two antennas; and transmitting a second symbol via the at least two antennas by applying different channel mapping rules to the second symbol in the at least two antennas. One embodiment of the present invention can improve overall performance without downward leveling by a symbol transmitted via an antenna having low average channel power.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR IMPLEMENTING MULTI-USER MULTIPLE-INPUT MULTIPLE-OUTPUT
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method and system for implementing multi-user multiple-input multiple-output (MU-MIMO). The method includes: connecting two MU-MIMO-supported access points to form a virtual access point stack; setting a primary access point and a secondary access point in the virtual access point stack; performing access point configuration on the primary access point, and synchronizing the configuration of the primary access point to the secondary access point; and scheduling all antennas of the virtual access point stack by the primary access point. According to the embodiments of the present disclosure, wireless capacity is improved without consuming extra wireless spectrum resources.
Methods and systems for determining downlink data mode
Aspects of this disclosure relate to user equipment assisted multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) downlink configuration. Features are described for a user equipment determination of a desired transmission mode and/or active set of serving nodes for wireless communication service(s). The user equipment may submit a request for the desired mode and/or nodes to a network controller such as a baseband unit. The user equipment may subsequently receive a configuration for the requested wireless communication service(s).
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ESTABLISHING A WIRELESS CONNECTION USING A SELF-POSITIONABLE WIRELESS DEVICE
A system and method for a providing a dynamic backhaul. In one example, the system includes a self-positionable wireless device (for example, a drone) including a dual-band radio configured to establish a wireless connection between the self-positionable wireless device and a wireless system. The dual-band radio initiates a narrowband wireless link with the wireless system via a first narrowband antenna of the self-positionable wireless device and a second narrowband antenna of the wireless system. A navigation system generates location, velocity and error estimate of the self-positionable wireless device. The location is transmitted to the wireless system using the narrowband wireless link. The self-positionable wireless device receives via the narrowband wireless link location, velocity and error estimate of the wireless system. The self-positionable wireless device establishes a directional broadband wireless link with the wireless system using the location, velocity and error estimate of the self-positionable wireless system and the wireless system.
