METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR COMMUNICATING IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

The present disclosure relates to a 5G or a pre-5G communication system for supporting a higher data rate following 4G communication systems such as LTE. In accordance with an embodiment of the present disclosure, a method of a base station includes: checking an operation mode depending on whether beam sweeping is supported, transmitting a signal related to the operation mode to a terminal, and performing communication with the terminal according to the operation mode.

EFFICIENT TRANSMISSION OF A RESPONSE SIGNAL FOR A RANDOM ACCESS PREAMBLE TRANSMITTED FROM LEGACY OR EXTENSION CARRIER CAPABLE DEVICES

In order to provide a transmission device and transmission method with which a response signal for random access preamble transmitted from a preamble transmission device is efficiently transmitted, setting unit in base station sets a first resource candidate group, which enables terminal capable of receiving a latch response transmitted by demodulation reference signal (DMRS) transmission to be selected, and a second resource candidate group, which enables terminal incapable of receiving a latch response transmitted by DMRS transmission but capable of receiving a latch response transmitted by cell-specific reference signal (CRS) transmission to be selected. Control unit selects DMRS transmission as the latch response transmission method when a resource in which latch preamble has been received is included in the first candidate group, but selects CRS transmission as the latch response transmission method when the resource is included in the second resource candidate group.

Cell Timing in a Wireless Device and Base Station

Methods and apparatuses are described for wireless communications. Cells may be grouped into a plurality of cell groups. A time adjustment may be determined and applied to uplink transmission timing of a cell group. A transmission timing difference between a first cell group and a second cell group may be determined. If the transmission timing difference exceeding a threshold, one or more devices may stop transmitting uplink signals via one or more secondary cells and/or may stop applying the timing adjustment for a cell group.

PHYSICAL CHANNEL DESIGN FOR NETWORK-ASSISTED D2D
20180014344 · 2018-01-11 ·

A method in a network node for multiplexing a physical channel between the network node and devices in a mixed wireless network, wherein the mixed wireless network comprises a cellular network comprising one or more cellular channels and a Device-to-Device (D2D), network comprising one or more D2D channels. The method includes time division multiplexing the physical channel between a first group of cellular channels and a first group of D2D channels, and frequency division multiplexing the physical channel between a second group of cellular channels and the first group of D2D channels.

Signal transmission power adjustment in a wireless device
11711769 · 2023-07-25 · ·

Wireless communications are described. A wireless device may be configured to transmit a first signal via a first cell group that may overlap in time with a second signal via a second cell group. The wireless device may adjust a signal transmission power of at least one of the first signal or the second signal. Additionally or alternatively, the wireless device may drop at least one of the first signal or the second signal. Adjusting and/or dropping at least one of the first signal or the second signal may be based on the overlap in time of these signals satisfying a duration threshold and a total power to transmit the first signal and the second signal exceeding a power threshold.

System and methods for fluid delivery

A system for at least partial closed-loop control of a medical condition is disclosed. The system includes at least one medical fluid pump. The medical fluid pump including a sensor for determining the volume of fluid pumped by the pump. Also, at least one continuous analyte monitor, and a controller. The controller is in communication with the medical fluid pump and the at least one continuous analyte monitor. The controller includes a processor. The processor includes instructions for delivery of medical fluid based at least on data received from the at least one continuous analyte monitor.

Nested frequency hopping for data transmission

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a discovery reference signal from a base station on an anchor channel. The UE may perform a first random or pseudorandom frequency hopping procedure to identify a plurality of downlink carriers for a first time period. The UE may perform a second random or pseudorandom frequency hopping procedure within the plurality of downlink carriers to select one of the plurality of downlink carriers as the uplink channel for a second time period. The UE may then transmit an uplink communication during the second time period on the selected uplink channel. In some examples, the uplink communication may be transmitted based at least in part on time division multiplexing (TDM) information.

Methods and infrastructure equipment

A method of operating a first infrastructure equipment of a wireless communications network comprising a core network part, the first infrastructure equipment, a second infrastructure equipment acting as a backhaul relay node between the first infrastructure equipment and the core network part, and a downstream wireless communications device. The method comprising receiving from the second infrastructure equipment an indication of a first set of communications resources, allocating resource elements of the first set of communications resources for receiving first data for transmission to the core network part from the downstream wireless communications device, and receiving second data transmitted by the second infrastructure equipment on one or more resource elements within a second set of communications resources, the second set of communications resources different from the first set of communications resources.
