Systems and methods for enabling additional devices to check in to Bluetooth low energy (BLE) beacons
Systems and methods are provided for checking many users in to a location using a Bluetooth® low energy (BLE) beacon. The provided systems and methods may allow a BLE beacon to facilitate a check in with a remote server that processes check ins and then disconnect from the device used to check in. The device may be assigned a unique identifier that may be broadcast from the device during the check in so that the BLE beacon can quickly scan for the identifier and connect with the device based on the identifier to provide content and other information to the device.

Wireless system having local oscillator signal derived from reference clock output of active oscillator that has no electromechanical resonator
A wireless system includes an active oscillator and a front-end circuit. The active oscillator is used to generate and output a reference clock. The active oscillator includes at least one active component, and does not include an electromechanical resonator. The front-end circuit is used to process a transmit (TX) signal or a receive (RX) signal according to a local oscillator (LO) signal. The LO signal is derived from the reference clock.
Remote slowing or stopping a progress of a drone towards a target
A method for disconnecting a wireless time-division duplex communication link, said time-division duplex communication link being between a first node transmitting during time slots allocated to said first node and a second node transmitting during separate time slots allocated to said second node, said first node transmitting at a respective one of a plurality of frequency bands during each of said time slots allocated to said first node, said method may include sub-dividing a time slot allocated to said first node into consecutive time intervals; and disrupting communication between said first node and said second node by transmitting, using a transmitter, respective interference signals during at least some of said time intervals of the time slot to provide an aggregated disconnect signal of the time slot, each of said interference signals being transmitted on one of said plurality of frequency bands, wherein for at least two of said time intervals said interference signals are transmitted on different frequency bands.
Wireless receiver
A method and apparatus for a wireless receiver are described herein. A user equipment (UE) may process control information in a first time slot of a transmission time interval (TTI) having a plurality of time slots. The UE may, in response to the control information including valid resource assignment information for the UE, receive data in the first time slot and another time slot of the TTI. The UE may, in response to the control information not including valid resource assignment information for the UE, discontinue reception in the TTI. The UE may discontinue reception for another time slot of the TTI. The circuitry may be further configured to receive a transmission indicating that a base station will discontinuously transmit to the UE. The control information may be processed prior to processing any of the data symbols of the TTI.
Receiving and transmitting reverse link signals from subscriber units
An apparatus for receiving reverse link signals from a plurality of subscriber units in a multi-path environment is described. The apparatus includes a receiver in a base station that receives a first plurality of reverse link signals and a second plurality of reverse link signals in a time interval. Each reverse link signal of the first plurality of reverse link signals is derived from at least a common pseudo noise (PN) sequence and unique orthogonal sequence and each reverse link signal of the second plurality of reverse link signals is derived from a unique pseudo noise (PN) sequence. The apparatus also includes a a processor that determines a timing offset associated with at least one reverse link signal to align a timing of the at least one reverse link signal with reverse link signals from other subscriber units.
Method and apparatus for transceiving channel related to terminal that supports half duplex transmission in mobile communication system
A method and apparatus of a user equipment (UE) for transmitting and receiving data in a wireless communication system. The UE receives first time division duplex (TDD) uplink-downlink configuration information for a first cell and second TDD uplink-downlink configuration information for a second cell, determines whether a subframe in the first cell is a special subframe and the subframe in the second cell is a downlink subframe according to the first and second TDD uplink-downlink configuration information, and determine, if the subframe in the first cell is the special subframe and the subframe in the second cell is the downlink subframe, not to receive a signal on the second cell in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols that overlaps with at least one of a guard period (GP) or uplink pilot time slot in the first cell.
Weight based visual communication of items representing process control objects in a process control system
A method, item communication arrangement and a computer program product communicate items representing process control objects to a user of a wireless terminal in a process control system. The arrangement includes an item communication control unit providing the items representing process control objects and configured to continuously determine weights of the items and visually communicate items to the user via the wireless terminal in an order defined by the weights of the items. The weight of an item is determined based on an item selection pattern of the user.

SEAMLESS PROMOTION REDEMPTION
Systems and related methods of providing seamless transactions, including payments and promotion redemptions, are discussed herein. Some embodiments may provide for a system including a communication beacon and one or more servers. The communication beacon may be configured to communicate with consumer devices via a direct wireless connection when the consumer devices are within a wireless direct communicable range of the communication beacon. The one or more servers may be configured to associate the communication with a merchant and receive consumer presence data from the communication beacon such that consumer presence at the merchant may be determined. In response, the one or more servers may be configured to perform a seamless transaction on behalf the consumer that allows the consumer to provide payments or redeem promotions, among other things, simply by self-identifying with the merchant while carrying the consumer device.
