Systems and methods for controlling environmental illumination
Systems and methods for controlling environmental illumination relative to circadian function of individuals are provided. A method is provided for controlling the operation of light sources by assigning a circadian state to the individual based on received electronic information, extrapolating future circadian states based on the assigned circadian state, the assigned circadian state or the extrapolated future circadian states including at least a biological night state, and encoding machine-level control commands that control the operation of the light source for transmission to the light sources adapted for the biological night state by having circadian-significant attenuation along the circadian active wavelength range.
Load control system responsive to sensors and mobile devices
A load control system may control an electrical load in a space of a building based on one or more parameters regarding the physical condition of an occupant. The parameters may be gathered by one or more sensing devices. The sensing devices may be included in a mobile device. A system controller may receive the parameters and may automatically control the electrical loads in response to the parameters. The system controller may control the electrical load to attempt to adjust the physical condition of the occupant in response to the sensed parameters. The system controller may control the electrical load to provide an alert, an alarm, and/or a warning in response to the sensed parameters.
Infant Care Apparatus and System
Infant care apparatus and system comprising a tray molded in the shape of an infant's body; and fastening devices to fasten the tray around the caregiver's chest, to provide safe kangaroo care to infants. Some embodiments may include sensors to monitor the infant's physiological parameters, and/or a negative pressure ventilator and/or an automated urine and feces collection and disposal system, and/or an external cardiac compression system, and/or electroencephalograph cap, and/or a heat pump to maintain infant body temperature; and/or light emitting diodes to provide phototherapy; and/or an aspirator for suctioning secretions from nose and/or mouth of infant; and/or warm mist generating apparatus to humidify air around the infant. It may include a networking module for transmission of sensor data to and receiving of operating commands from remote servers accessible by medical professionals. The invention thus also provides safe and easy-to-operate intensive care for infants, along with kangaroo care.
Dynamic sauna
Systems and methods are provided for controlling infrared radiation (IR) sources of a sauna including tuning IR wavelength-ranges and radiated power-levels of IR sources, and directing IR to locations on a user's body. In one illustrative embodiment, a sauna may be provided having adjustable heat sources to emit IR at any wavelength resulting in a desirable radiation treatment for the sauna user. In another illustrative embodiment, a method is provided for tuning IR sources in a sauna.
WIRELESS SENSOR SYSTEM, FOR USE IN A PHOTOTHERAPY SYSTEM, CAPABLE OF HARVESTING ENERGY
A sensor system, for use in a phototherapy system for treatment of neonatal jaundice, designed to harvest energy from the phototherapy system. The sensor system is wirelessly connected to the phototherapy system and provides measurements of the total serum bilirubin levels of the infant. The continuous measurement of the total serum bilirubin allows the phototherapy system to personalize the treatment of each infant, minimizing any unwanted side effects of the phototherapy. The energy harvesting performed by the sensor removes the need to manually replace or recharge batteries, which may disturb the infant during treatment, and may enable the sensor system to operate without an energy storage device, such as a battery, altogether.
PORTABLE NON-INVASIVE DEVICES FOR INTEGRATIVE MEDICINE AND HOLISTIC HEALING
A therapeutic device is provided that utilizes a microprocessor-controlled assembly having a heater and a ceramic plate which emits a Far Infrared wavelength of 8-10 microns and a Terahertz frequency vibration that flows throughout and deep into the human body. The Far Infrared heat energy produced by the therapy device stimulates the flow of internal energy in a person resulting in many therapeutic benefits.
NARROWBAND ULTRAVIOLET SAUNA
Systems, devices, and methods are disclosed herein for ultraviolet saunas. Systems include a plurality of walls of an enclosure, the enclosure being a sauna enclosure configured to accommodate a user. The systems further include a plurality of heating elements coupled to the plurality of walls, a plurality of emissive elements configured to generate ultraviolet (UV) light, and a controller coupled to the plurality of heating elements and the plurality of emissive elements. The controller includes one or more processors configured to generate activation properties for each of the plurality of heating elements and the plurality of emissive elements, activate at least one of the plurality of heating elements based on the plurality of activation properties, and activate the at least one emissive element based on the plurality of activation properties.
