SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR LIGHT GENERATION AND USE THEREOF
System and methods to generate and control light for use in therapeutic, aesthetic, disinfection, and other light-related applications in settings where a significant portion of skin is exposed to light (e.g., shower, sauna, locker-room). Characteristics of the light are controlled to simulate specific spectra of natural sunlight and unnatural light and deliver targeted doses of UV light (e.g., for vitamin-D synthesis, boosting the immune system, tanning), UV-C light (e.g., to kill bacteria, viruses, and fungi), visible light (e.g., to anchor a circadian rhythm to improve mood, metabolism, cognitive functions, physical performance, and sleep), and red or infrared light (e.g., for skin rejuvenation, wound healing, tissue repair, blood-flow, muscle recovery, circulation) while, at the same time, minimizing negative impacts of light exposure. Various embodiments may further create the experience of an outdoor shower.
METHODS FOR PHOTODYNAMIC THERAPY
A method of enhancing penetration of a topical composition of 5-aminolevulinic acid (ALA) into tissue for photodynamic therapy includes topically applying ALA to a treatment area to be treated with photodynamic therapy. The method further includes, after the ALA is applied to the treatment area, covering the treatment area with a low density polyethylene barrier. The treatment area is covered with the low density polyethylene barrier prior to light treatment to minimize transepidermal water loss from the treatment area.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR APPLYING THERAPEUTIC LIGHT TO REDUCE HAZARD TO HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS OF CONTRACTING INFECTIOUS DISEASE
A therapeutic light assembly used for reducing a patient's viral load including a housing containing at least one therapeutic light source configured to emit light at air exiting the patient's airway, a power source coupled to the at least therapeutic light source, and a tubing attachment coupled to the housing configured to secure the housing to a patient's tubing.
METHODS FOR PHOTODYNAMIC THERAPY

PHOTOTHERAPY
The disclosure describes a phototherapy device comprising a processor including a first monochromatic LED configured to emit a first beam of light having a first discrete wavelength. In some examples, the processor further comprises a second monochromatic LED configured to emit a second beam of light having a second discrete wavelength. According to some examples, the phototherapy device further comprises a housing that contains the processor, the housing having a distal handle end and a proximal handle end opposite the distal handle end, wherein a light emitted from an LED selected from the group consisting of the first monochromatic LED and the second monochromatic LED is configured to exit the housing from the distal handle end. The phototherapy device may comprise a first actuator mechanically coupled to the housing and electrically coupled to an LED selected from the group consisting of the first monochromatic LED and the second monochromatic LED.

INCREASED EFFECTIVENESS OF UV PATHOGEN ERADICATION
Manual, automated and mass methods and devices, for enhancing the effect of UV light disinfection (at UV wavelength of 200 nm to 340 nm) of transmitted UV light on or in humans and devices by at least one of the steps of: a) increasing controllable output power of a UV emitting device, including using high power UV lasers or direct placement of UV light sources, b) increasing the efficiency of UV disinfection effect with the placement of the UV emitting device including by use of side emitting fibers with uniform output and distant placement directed at surgical sites, otoscope type handheld devices directing UV light into infected orifices, biofilm disruption, fluorescent marking of pathogens and c) providing protocols for various enhanced pathogen eradication applications including tissue clearing to increase depth of penetration, use of aspiration needles for access to pathogens, site disinfection to increase cancer remission and implant in situ disinfection.

Sterilization device utilizing low intensity UV-C radiation and ozone
A sterilization system uses ultraviolet radiation and ozone to eradicate deadly pathogens to sterilize a surface of an object or wound/incision site at an adjustable intensity level. The sterilization system has ultraviolet emitters that emit ultraviolet light in wavelengths that kill pathogens and in wavelengths that produce ozone at the sites, therefore killing/disabling several hard-to-kill pathogens. The sterilization system has an intensity control and proximity detectors to enable ultraviolet emission only when the system is properly located near or against the surface so as to protect from unwanted radiation from the ultraviolet light.
