COMMUNICATION-PERFORMANCE CHARACTERIZATION VIA AUGMENTED REALITY

An electronic device that assesses communication performance is described. During operation, the electronic device receives information specifying a location in an environment. For example, the information may correspond to user-interface activity associated with a user interface. Notably, the user interface may include an augmented reality and the user-interface activity may include defining the location, such as by dropping a pin in the augmented reality. Then, the electronic device provides the information to an access point and/or a controller of the access point, where the location is within communication range of the access point. Next, the electronic device receives, from the access point and/or the controller, measurements of one or more communication performance metrics at or proximate to the location during a time interval. Moreover, the electronic device provides a graphical representation of the communication performance at or proximate to the location based at least in part on the measurements.

A method by which a terminal reports channel state information (CSI) in a wireless communication system, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises the steps of: measuring interference through an interference measurement resource (IMR) set in a control area; and reporting, to a base station, CSI for the control area on the basis of the result of the interference measurement, wherein the CSI for the control area includes information on quality of a downlink control channel set through at least one control channel element (CCE) aggregation, and the information on the quality of the downlink control channel can include information on at least one CCE aggregation level preferred by the terminal in order to receive the downlink control channel. A UE is capable of communicating with at least one of another UE, a UE related to an autonomous driving vehicle, a base station or a network.

An electronic device may comprise a plurality of antennas, at least one processor, and an RF circuit. The at least one processor may be configured to identify at least one channel measurement configuration associated with a second RAT different from a first RAT in a state in which the electronic device is connected to a first communication network based on the first RAT, perform measurement on at least one measurement object identified based on at least some of the at least one channel measurement configuration, using at least one first antenna among the plurality of antennas, detect an event requiring a switch of an antenna for performing the measurement, and control the RF circuit to perform the measurement, using at least one second antenna different from the at least one first antenna among the plurality of antennas, based on detection of the event.

Anchor selection for UE positioning

A positioning reference signal measurement reporting method includes: determining, at a UE based on at least one signal received by the UE, an indication of a spatial relationship between the UE and a first candidate anchor device that is configured to transmit a positioning reference signal (PRS) wirelessly; and reporting a measurement of the PRS based on the indication of the spatial relationship between the UE and the first candidate anchor device meeting at least one criterion of anchor device quality.

Methods, user equipment and network node for performing channel state measurements

Channel state determination is performed at a user equipment (UE) of a mobile network. The UE determines one or a plurality of time intervals that may be used for channel measurements, performs a plurality of signal power measurements associated each to one of the time intervals to be used for channel measurement and generates a channel state information as a function of the plurality of the signal power measurements. Information comprising an indication of a plurality of time intervals that may be used for received signal power measurements is generated and sent from an access node (eNB) to the UE. The eNB evaluates a measurement report, received from the UE, that comprises received signal power measurements associated each to one of the time intervals.

According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, there is provided a method in which a terminal transmits position measurement information in a radio communication system. The method that is performed by the terminal includes triggering a beam positioning mechanism, receiving a beam positioning-related signal from a base station, measuring the beam positioning-related signal, acquiring position measurement information based on the measured beam positioning-related signal, and transmitting the acquired position measurement information to the base station. The position measurement information is acquired based on beamforming configuration.

Iterative self interference measurement with power ramping

A configuration for a wireless device to perform iterations of SIM to detect clutter echo in order to improve a configuration for SIM. The apparatus performs a SIM for multiple beam pairs based on a first transmission power. The apparatus performs an iteration of the SIM for one or more beam pairs that meet a criteria. The iteration of the SIM is based on a second transmission power. The second transmission power is greater than the first transmission power.

Base station controlled temporal filtering of channel state information

A base station determines a temporal filter configuration for a user equipment (UE) and transmits the temporal filter configuration to the UE. The temporal filter configuration indicates whether the UE should apply a temporal filter to channel state information (CSI) measurements to generate CSI values, or identifies which temporal filter to apply. The UE generates CSI values based on the temporal filter configuration and reports the generated CSI values to the base station.
