Calibrating primary and auxiliary multiple input multiple output radios

Techniques for calibrating in-band and out-of-band receivers using complex signals. The techniques include receiving a signal from a wireless radio antenna at a first receiver and a second receiver in a wireless communication system. The first receiver is configured to receive in-band transmission during operation of the wireless communication system and the second receiver is configured to receive out-of-band transmission during operation of the wireless communication system, and the signal is transmitted at least partially simultaneously from the wireless radio antenna to the first receiver and the second receiver. The techniques further include determining a difference of complex signals for the first receiver and the second receiver based on measuring the signals received from the wireless radio antenna at the first receiver and the second receiver, and calibrating the second receiver with the first receiver based the difference of complex signals.

BEAMFORMING DEVICE AND METHOD OF CALIBRATING AMPLITUDE AND PHASE ERRORS THEREIN

A beamforming device includes a common port for transmitting and receiving signals, multiple input/output ports linked to antenna elements, and transmission/reception channels that apply attenuation and phase shifts to signals. A common port coupler provides a first measurement signal, while channel input/output couplers are linked to each port. A channel selection and signal detection circuit selects a channel and acquires a second measurement signal from its associated coupler. An error discriminator determines amplitude and phase differences by mixing the first and second measurement signals.

The present disclosure relates to a test and/or measurement system having a processing circuit configured to process a signal and to determine at least a first presentation based on a first parameter and a second presentation based on a second parameter when processing the signal, wherein the second parameter is different to the first parameter. The test and/or measurement system includes a display connected with the processing circuit, which is configured to display either the first presentation or the second presentation at the same time. The test and/or measurement system includes a storage medium configured to store first data associated with the first presentation and second data associated with the second presentation. Further, a computer-implemented method of gathering data of a signal as well as a computer program product are described.
