Non-Invasive Convergent Heating Treatment
The invention relates to medical therapy of detrimental lesions. A system treats with non-invasive arrays of non-ionizing energy-radiation sources. The external sources focus energy dose distribution to a selected volume in a body. Energy output is directed towards a pathologic location and quenched around other sites or healthy tissue. Beam aiming is done without source movement. Targeted, volumetrically discrete energy deposition can beneficially manipulate lesions within the body. The purpose of the focused and enhanced energy deposition is to repair or disable pathologic physiology or structures, nerve pathways, extracellular fluid, and misfolded proteins. Locally augmented energy is used to enhance immunity, release pharmaceutical compounds from energy-sensitive vesicles and reconfigure or eliminate misfolded proteins and their aggregates. Targeted tissue may have enhanced sensitivity to received energy via a non-ionizing-radiation, treatment-localizing agent. This system optimizes delivery of non-ionizing, non-ablating electromagnetic or mechanical energy, degrading or repairing an abnormality upon interaction with it.
Light-based vaginal therapy device
The embodiments herein provide an LED based vaginal light therapy device for a plurality of bacterial and fungal infections. The device comprises an LED body, a cervix support, a single or a plurality of LEDs, a switch, a tether, microchip and a battery. One end of the device comprises a cervix support to place the device smoothly against the cervix. A plurality of LEDs is provided over the LED body. The LED body comprises one or more LEDs and each LED emits a light having a wavelength in a therapeutic zone of light. The light emitted are in a range of blue light and/or red light. The microchip is housed within the LED body. The microchip connects a battery to the single or plurality of LED's and is further connected to the switch.
SYSTEM FOR ULTRASOUND TREATMENT COMBINED WITH UVC TREATMENT
A treatment system has a base unit and a portable unit. The base unit has a pliable top layer and one or more ultrasonic transducers configured to produce ultrasound waves into the pliable top layer. The portable unit has a pliable pad and an ultrasonic transducer producing ultrasound waves into the pliable pad. The portable unit also has a source of ionizing electromagnetic radiation configured to emit in ionizing electromagnetic radiation.
INFANT WARMER USING LASER SOURCE
An infant treatment device includes a light source and a blanket. When the treatment device is configured to warm an infant, a laser diode is used to provide warming light. The warming light passes along an optic cable having a plurality of optic fibers each having a fiber ending. The fiber endings are spaced along is diffuser. The diffuser is designed to spread the warming light to create multiple heating zones. A control circuit is used to control the operation of the laser diode. The treatment device is designed such that the light source and blanket can be separated and connected when desired such that the light source can be used with more than one blanket. In another embodiment, the light source can include a diode design for use in phototherapy treatment.
Method and apparatus for non-thermal nail, foot, and hand fungus treatment
A method and device for treating an infection of the nail or nail bed and adjacent tissues through non-thermal means is described. The device illuminates an area with light in the near-infrared region of the electromagnetic spectrum. Preferably, light having wavelengths of from about 870 nm to about 930 nm will be used. Further, the device includes light emitting diodes that are capable of emitting ultraviolet light. These lights are intended to provide a sterile environment for a user using the device.
LOW-LEVEL LIGHT THERAPY FOR RESTORING GUT MICROBIOTA
Low-level light therapy (LLLT) can be applied to a subject suffering from gut dysbiosis in order to restore the subject's gut microbiota to a state of heath. A subject can be placed proximal to a light source device. The light source device can be configured to apply LLL with wavelengths from the red to infrared part of the spectrum. The LLL can be applied at a power density and for a time sufficient to restore the subjects gut microbiota to a state of health.
System and method for administering light therapy to curved and large surfaces
A system and method are disclosed that use a flexible guide (flap) and a scanning method to control the delivery of light dose to a treatment area. This approach overcomes the non-reliable delivery of light dose with a flap that conforms to the target area. Dosimetry control can be improved through the use of a computer controlled motor to move the laser fibers at known speed over the target tissue. In some embodiments, treatment time is reduced and illumination of large surfaces is achieved by using multiple fibers to deliver the light simultaneously.
Portable pain relief device utilizing polymer based materials or a combination of EL material and polymer based materials
A pain relief device and process or system to aid in the resolution of or otherwise treat pain in a body of a human or animal including at least one layer of PVDF film. An EL platform light therapy device is described which includes a layer of PVDF film and may also include a vibration element as well as at least one noise generator. An advanced modulated multi-mode red light device is also described here having an EL inverter (which can be sound generated), an EL panel (which can be sound generated), a magnetic strip field modulation, a double stick tape field distribution, a PVDF or tri-polymer resonance drive, and a three layer red filter wave generator. Shoe insert uses are also described along with alternative devices with EL tape as another improvement used in various alternatives, which may also include an inverter.
CATHETER AND LIGHT IRRADIATION SYSTEM
A catheter includes a long tubular main body, a window on a side of the main body and transmits light in a predetermined outward direction, and an opening on the side of the main body, the opening being configured to release a fluid. A direction in which the fluid is released from the opening intersects the predetermined outward direction in which light is emitted from the window.
Phototherapeutic apparatus and protocol setting method for phototherapeutic apparatus
Provided is a phototherapeutic apparatus including: a probe that is held and operated by a user and provided with a photo-irradiation unit that performs irradiation with light beams; and a body provided with a control unit that controls the light beams. The body is provided with a read unit that reads a treatment protocol registered in an IC card (mobile memory medium), and a monitor (operation indication unit) that indicates a region to be irradiated with the light beams to the user, the region being set in the treatment protocol, and the control unit causes the monitor to indicate the region to be irradiated and causes the photo-irradiation unit to perform the irradiation with the light beams at a set value set in the treatment protocol. It is possible to perform the irradiation with the light beams in accordance with the treatment protocol and safely use the phototherapeutic apparatus.
