Methods and compositions for administering a specific wavelength phototherapy
Methods are disclosed for administering electromagnetic radiation (EMR), which may include filtering EMR from part of the EMR spectrum while allowing passage of EMR at a desired wavelength range. Uses may include the treatment of such conditions as psoriasis, vitiligo, pruritus, acne, vitamin-D deficiency and atopic dermatitis. Topical creams, sprays, or other compositions may be used, with or without dosimeters, or in conjunction with an application, which calculates local UV exposure and other factors relating to dosage.
Apparatus, method, and system for selectively effecting and/or killing bacteria
Certain exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure can provide an apparatus and method for generating at least one radiation can be provided. The exemplary apparatus and/or method can selectively kill and/or affect at least one bacteria. For example, a radiation source first arrangement can be provided which is configured to generate at least one radiation having one or more wavelengths provided in a range of about 190 nanometers (nm) to about 230 nm, and at least one second arrangement can be provided which is configured to prevent the at least one radiation from having any wavelength that is outside of the range can be provided.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PHOTOTHERAPY FOR PREVENTING OR TREATING CARBON MONOXIDE POISONING
Systems and methods are provided for treating or preventing carbon monoxide poisoning. In particular, systems and methods are provided for a phototherapy treatment or prevention system that delivers light radiation to a patient's body to photodissociate carbon monoxide from hemoglobin.
Photobiomodulation (PBM) in general lighting
A lighting arrangement for providing visible light and radiation in another spectrum that is medically beneficial is provided. The lighting arrangement comprises a light source adapted to emit visible light; a radiation source adapted to emit radiation in a predetermined spectrum, and a driver circuit adapted to provide a first driving current that is pulsed and has a duty cycle of not greater than 20%. The predetermined spectrum is preferably in the range 760-1400 nm. The lighting arrangement is adapted to provide the first driving current to the radiation source but not the light source. Corresponding method and products employing such lighting arrangement are also provided.
Applicator
Disclosed is an applicator or handpiece configured to apply treatment energy to a segment of skin located in a tissue or skin treatment plane. The treatment energy could be RF energy, applied by a pair of bipolar RF electrodes or optical energy. The applicator includes an optical system configured to form a rectangular spot and homogenize the optical energy distribution.
Phototherapeutic apparatus for focused UVB radiation and vitamin D synthesis and associated systems and methods
The present disclosure is directed to a phototherapeutic apparatus for focused UVB radiation and vitamin D synthesis and associated systems methods. In one embodiment a phototherapeutic apparatus can include a housing at least partially defining an irradiation zone, and an ultraviolet (UV) radiation source carried by the housing. The irradiation zone can be configured to accommodate at least a portion of a human patient. The phototherapeutic apparatus can further include a filter between the UV radiation source and the irradiation zone. The filter can be configured to at least substantially remove UV radiation outside of a predetermined spectrum centered at about 297 nm and having a bandwidth of at most 10 nm.

Light irradiation device
A light irradiation device includes a tube including a tube main body and a light emitting portion, a plurality of wiring boards disposed inside the light emitting portion and including a plurality of light emitting elements disposed at an equal interval mounted, an anode lead wire for connecting an anode terminal of each of the wiring boards to a power source, and a cathode lead wire for connecting a cathode terminal of each of the wiring boards to the power source. In the light emitting portion, a central lumen and surrounding lumens that are arrayed at a 90 interval around the central lumen are formed. The wiring boards are disposed in the respective surrounding lumens with the light emitting elements arrayed along a longitudinal direction of the light emitting portion.
Device for acting on at least parts of a body
The invention relates to a device for acting on at least parts of the body of a user, in particular with medical-cosmetic radiation and/or by mechanical influence, comprising means for acting (22, 23) on the human body, which have adjustable operating parameters, and a controller (38), which is connected to the means for acting (22, 23) and sets the operating parameters. A device for acting on at least parts of the body of a user, which device can be set to the needs of the user, in particular even during operation, is provided according to the invention in that at least one microphone is provided, by means of which voice inputs of the user for controlling the operating parameters can be captured, and in that the microphone is connected to an evaluation unit, which converts voice inputs captured by the microphone into control commands for the means for acting (22, 23).
