Network broadcasting for selective presentation of audio content
Concepts and technologies directed to network broadcasting for selective presentation of audio content are disclosed herein. Embodiments can include a system having a memory and a processor that is configured to perform operations. The operations can include obtaining a plurality of raw audio streams created by a plurality of audio capture devices, where each of the plurality of raw audio streams captures audio output from an audio source of a plurality of audio sources. The operations can include creating a packetized audio data set for each of the plurality of raw audio streams to create a plurality of packetized audio data sets. The operations can include binding each audio source from the plurality of audio sources to one of the plurality of packetized audio data sets via a plurality of audio isolation tags such that execution of each packetized audio data set can be individually initiated and suppressed.
Method and apparatus for inhibiting the interruption of content being consumed by a user
The present disclosure provides a method (1100) and apparatus (702) for inhibiting the interruption of the content being consumed by a user that is provided by an entertainment system. The method (1100) and apparatus (702) of the present disclosure may detect an interruption event and determine, based on the current state of a user, whether the interruption event matches the current state of the user. If the method (1100) and apparatus (702) of the present disclosure determine that the interruption event does not match the current state of the user, the method (1100) and apparatus (702) of the present disclosure may inhibit the interruption of the content being consumed by the user.
Creating customized programming content
In one embodiment, a computer-implemented method of creating customized programming content for a user of a video content system includes accessing a user interest profile for the user, the user interest profile comprising a ranked list of a plurality of interest categories; locating at least one video segment corresponding to each of the interest categories of the user interest profile; calculating the correlation between the user interest profile and data describing each of the located video segment, and ranking the video segments based on the correlation; assembling the video segments into a customized video programming stream based on the ranking; and displaying the customized video programming stream to the user.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR PERSONALIZED RENDERING OF DIGITAL MEDIA CONTENT
Systems and methods are disclosed for providing devices capable of the reception and playback of one or more crafted media channels transmitted over an intermittent connection. The one or more channels may be customized by the end user to bias the programming towards individual tastes or moods. The channels may be delivered over an intermittent, unidirectional link, for example a Satellite Radio receiver in a home or car. Content may also be delivered over an intermittent, bidirectional link, for example to a portable media player via a wireless 802.11 or other networked connection.
Voice operated electronic device that blocks radio commercials and substitutes alternate audio content
A system and method for blocking normal media content signals, such as radio program signals emitted on a speaker and substituting alternative content for blocked signals includes a voice control module operable to receive a blocking command via a microphone. Receiving a blocking command results in the normal content being blocked and predetermined alternative content is played for either a user specified time or a predetermined time. Control over the radio or other media device is completely oral via speech recognition technology.
SYSTEM FOR EVENT-BASED TARGETED ADVERTISING
Provided is a system for targeted advertising including a broadcast transmission system, an advertisement service system, and a broadcast receiving device. The broadcast transmission system acquires information indicating whether target advertisement is performable by replacing the existing broadcasting advertisement from the advertisement service system and transmits broadcast signaling including a target advertisement chance information event through a broadcast network. The broadcast receiving device, upon receiving the target advertisement chance information event, acquires metadata regarding a target advertisement and target advertisement content from the advertisement service system and reproduces the target advertisement content by replacing the existing advertisement in a targeted advertisement section.
NON-TEMPORAL ADVERTISING
Methods and systems are described herein for masking a network disruption. In an aspect, a plurality of advertisements can be stored locally to a user device. In an aspect, the user device can receive content from a network. In an aspect, the network can experience a disruption, wherein the disruption prevents the user device from receiving the content. In an aspect, the user device can select one of the plurality of advertisements. The selected advertisement can be presented.
ASSET TARGETING SYSTEM FOR LIMITED RESOURCE ENVIRONMENTS
The present invention provides targeted asset system implementations in contexts where there is limited or no ability to use a real-time return channel for communications from user equipment devices (e.g., STB) to the network. In one arrangement, a household classifier is generated and delivered to user equipment devices. The household classifiers are generated based on third party data and/or network usage information associated with the household. The system and method allow for generating highly accurate household classifications that may be forwarded to individual households where the user equipment device may implant the classifiers to select appropriate assets for delivery to the household.
