ADAPTIVE PROCESSING IN TIME-MULTIPLEXED SIGNALS
Systems and methods are provided for broadcasting a signal. A multiplexer combines a first signal from a first signal source and a second signal from a second signal source as a time divisional multiplexed signal and provides a timing signal, distinct from the time division multiplexed signal, that indicates, for a given time, from which of the first and the second signal source a corresponding portion of the time divisional multiplexed signal originated. A signal conditioning component receives each of the time divisional multiplexed signal and the timing signal and alters the time division multiplexed signal in a manner that prepares the signal for broadcast. The signal conditioning component dynamically alters its behavior according to the timing signal. An antenna transmits the time division multiplexed signal.

Textual display of aural information broadcast via frequency modulated signals
An electronic device includes a display screen and circuitry. The circuitry receives a first frequency modulated (FM) signal from a first FM radio transmitter, via a first FM radio channel. The first FM signal comprises a broadcast data signal that includes an audio segment of aural information of a performer-of-interest at of a live event, text information associated with the audio segment, and synchronization information. The synchronization information is associated with the text information and the audio segment. The circuitry extracts the synchronization information from a plurality of data packets of the broadcast data signal. The circuitry extracts a portion of the text information from the extracted plurality of data packets of the broadcast data signal based on the extracted synchronization information. The circuitry controls display of the extracted portion of the text information on the display screen.

System and method for the broadcast transmission of digital video over terrestrial frequency modulated wireless medium
The present invention provides systems and methods that enable the delivery of rich digital content over terrestrial base frequency modulated broadcast systems. The digitally rich content may include, but not limited to live or recorded video, command and control information. Access to the content may be on a free, pay-per-use, pay-per-view, or pay-per-broadcast or multicast method.
System and method for generating multimedia accompaniments to broadcast data
A method and system is presented for coordinating the transmission of supplemental digital data to accompany broadcast data, and in particular, analog radio broadcasts, among a plurality of broadcasters. The supplemental digital data may provide information about the particular broadcast data being transmitted (i.e. cut data) or may be supplemental to such data (i.e. news, weather and traffic data). The supplemental digital data to be presented is sorted based on particular algorithms which may take into account broadcaster-specified criteria such as target audience, time of day, type of broadcast data presented, and the like. The supplemental digital data may be audio data, visual data, or audio-visual data for presentation with the broadcast data. The supplemental digital data may further be advertisement data. The advertisement data may be sold by the broadcasters or the party coordinating the IBOC transmission of the supplemental digital data. The supplemental digital data may play simultaneously with muted broadcast data or at a user-specified time.

TIME-MULTIPLEXED SPECTRUM SHARING
Systems and methods are provided for providing content to a receiver. A first broadcaster is configured to broadcast a first content on a channel over an associated first region of signal coverage. A second broadcaster is configured to broadcast a second content, different from the first content, on the channel over an associated second region of signal coverage that overlaps the first region of signal coverage to form a region of overlap. A gateway device is configured to schedule transmission times for the first and second broadcasters, such that a receiver tuned to the channel receives the first and second content as a time divisional multiplexed signal.
