UV light therapy apparatus for treatment of vitamin D deficiency and to a building comprising the same
Stationary UV light therapy apparatus for treatment of vitamin D deficiency, comprising: a daylight and/or sunlight collector for collecting daylight and/or sunlight over a collector square area, a light transmission component for transmitting the light collected by the collector to the interior of a room of a building, an optical filter for transmission of UV-light included in the daylight and/or sunlight, and a light distributor for distributing the UV-light over a square area of the room, wherein the square area is a part or all of the room square area and larger than the collector square area, and building comprising the same.
Therapeutic Textile Articles and Methods of Use
The present invention relates generally to therapeutic articles comprised of carbonaceous blend textile materials comprising yarns having about 25 to 100 weight % carbonaceous fiber and about 0 to 75 weight % fiber made of polyester, nylon, rayon, lyocell, cellulose, wool, silk, linen, bamboo, m-aramid, p-aramid, modacrylic, novoloid, melamine, regenerated cellulose, polyvinyl chloride, antistatic fiber, poly(p-phenylene benzobisoxazole) (PBO), polybenzimidazole (PBI), polysulphonamide (PSA), and combinations thereof, or other fibers not listed that are capable of being made into yarn and textile fabrics that are knit, woven, or nonwoven, and wherein the fabric has a weight from about 3 oz/yd.sup.2 to about 20 oz/yd.sup.2. Also encompassed within this invention is a method for using therapeutic textile articles having carbonaceous blend textile materials of the present disclosure for treatment of humans and animals with developmental neurological disorders, central nervous system disorders, autoimmune disorders, cardiovascular disease, sleep disorders, anxiety disorders, pain management, and diabetes.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PHOTOTHERAPY CONTROL
The present disclosure relates to systems, methods, and uses of systems for treating a skin condition with phototherapy. A system comprises (a) a phototherapy device comprising a phototherapy light source; (b) a patient computing device comprising a processor and a memory, the patient computing device configured to: transmit a first signal to the phototherapy device enabling operation of the phototherapy device according to one or more conditional prescription parameters, activate the phototherapy light source, and transmit a second signal reporting operation of the phototherapy device; and (c) a server configured to communicate with the patient computing device and receive the second signal.
PHOTO-TREATMENT DEVICE
A photo-treatment device includes a treatment region that has a front side at which source radiation is to be emitted and an opposite, back side. A plurality of light guides are located beside the treatment region. The light guides capture excess radiation peripheral to the treatment region and redirect the excess radiation toward the back side of the treatment region.
Winter tanning tent
The winter tanning tent is a structure that comprises a shell, a frame, and a floor panel. The frame is a structure upon which the shell is mounted such that a protected interior space is created. The shell is substantially formed from a transparent material such that sunlight will pass through the shell into the interior space formed by the shell thereby heating the interior space. The frame is mounted on a floor panel such that a person standing within the interior space is protected from the supporting surface upon which the winter tanning tent is placed. The floor panel comprises a plate like structure that is placed on the supporting surface. The purpose of the winter tanning tent is to create a space warmed by solar energy that can be used for sunbathing purposes on uncomfortably cool days.
COSMETIC COMPOSITIONS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING LOCALIZED SURFACE PLASMONIC RESONANCE IN RESPONSE TO INDOOR AND/OR OUTDOOR LIGHTING SOURCES
A topical skin composition and methods for its use are described. The composition can include a plurality of first plasmonic noble metal nanostructures having an aspect ratio of greater than 1 and being configured to absorb electromagnetic radiation from an artificial light source and/or from a solar radiation source to produce a first localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR), and a plurality of second plasmonic noble metal nanostructures having an aspect ratio of greater than 1 and being configured to absorb electromagnetic radiation from a solar radiation source to produce a second LSPR.
Non-ocular photo-biological stimulation
A first light source is arranged to provide non-ocular photo-biological stimulation to a user via a first light emission. For example, the first light source may take the form of an in-ear light source arranged to provide the photo-biological stimulation via at least one ear canal of the user. A controller coordinates control of the first light emission with a second light emission provided by at least one second light source providing ocular stimulation to the user. The second light source may take the form of one or more luminaires arranged to illuminate an environment of the user via ambient light. In embodiments, the controller may be configured to control the non-ocular light to counteract an effect on the user of the ambient light, or to enhance an effect of the ambient light.
Methods and compositions for administering a specific wavelength phototherapy
Methods are disclosed for administering electromagnetic radiation (EMR), which may include filtering EMR from part of the EMR spectrum while allowing passage of EMR at a desired wavelength range. Uses may include the treatment of such conditions as psoriasis, vitiligo, pruritus, acne, vitamin-D deficiency and atopic dermatitis. Topical creams, sprays, or other compositions may be used, with or without dosimeters, or in conjunction with an application, which calculates local UV exposure and other factors relating to dosage.
INFRARED RADIATION TRANSPARENT SUBSTRATES AND SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CREATION AND USE THEREOF
Substrates with transparency to infrared body radiation and opacity in the visible light spectrum are provided and systems and methods for creation thereof are provided. The IR radiation transparent substrate is IR radiation transparent and visible light opaque with enough breathability and softness to make it suitable for use in garments for body thermal regulation. Further, the IR radiation transparent substrate is created utilizing nanofiber technology to form specific sized micro pores between the nanofibers.
