A clipless cycling shoe having an upper and a base plate. The base plate has a medial portion, a lateral portion and a medial sidewall. The medial portion has a rigid support structure having a top portion and a bottom portion, a cavity is formed between the top portion and bottom portion, wherein the cavity is filled with a core material. The lateral portion has a lateral plate. The medial sidewall wrap is adjacent the medial portion and extends outward and upward relative to the base plate and the medial sidewall wrap extends a portion of the length of the base plate. The medial portion is desirably thicker than the lateral portion.

A clipless cycling shoe having an upper and a base plate. The base plate has a medial portion, a lateral portion and a medial sidewall. The medial portion has a rigid support structure having a top portion and a bottom portion, a cavity is formed between the top portion and bottom portion, wherein the cavity is filled with a core material. A cycling shoe comprises a sole defining an undersurface of the cycling shoe, the sole having connection holes configured for connection of a pedal cleat to the sole. An upper is connected to the sole and defining with the sole a foot-receiving cavity. An expansion zone is located in a lateral or medial subportion of a metatarsal portion and/or toe portion of the cycling shoe and configured to be opposite a portion of at least a fifth metatarsal of a wearer of the cycling shoe, the expansion zone being entirely surrounded by a window of structural upper paneling and defined by at least one panel having a greater stretching characteristics than the structural upper paneling of the window.

A system for analysis of user gait and to provide correction in form of haptic and visual feedback. This system comprises a motion and force sensors and a haptic actuator embedded in the user shoe insoles in communication with a smart-phone based analysis application, configured to calculate motion and orientation of the user feet in relation to the value, location and distribution of ground reaction forces measured by sensors located in the shoe insoles and after analysis of said forces and motion, to provide haptic feedback to the user foot instructing about the location (and timing) of pressure the user must apply to achieve an optimal gait.

A toe is coupled to one end of each of the pair of side panels forming a front pocket mateable with the toe of a cycling shoe. A heel is coupled to the opposite end of each of the pair of side panels forming a back pocket mateable with the heel of a cycling shoe. A sole member has a bottom surface and is joined to the pair of side panels. The bottom surface of the sole member is interposed between the cycling shoe and a ground surface when the cycling shoe cover is worn over the cycling shoe.

A cycling shoe assembly is basically provided with a cleat and a shoe. The cycling shoe is configured to be coupled to the cleat. In one configuration, the cycling shoe has a first connector that is configured to be electrically connected to a pedal in a coupled state where the cleat is coupled with the pedal. In another configuration, the cleat has a second connector that is configured to be electrically connected to a pedal in a coupled state where the cleat is coupled with the pedal.
