BROADCAST SELECTION
Disclosed technology includes a sensory prosthesis configured to automatically select a broadcast channel based on a comparison with a signal from a sensor of the sensory prosthesis. In an example, a sound processor automatically connects to an appropriate wireless broadcast audio channel by comparing the sound the sound processor receives on a microphone with the audio the sound processor receives from each of the wireless broadcast channels that the sound processor can receive. If the sound processor finds a match between the sound from the microphone and the sound from a broadcast, then the sound processor automatically selects the matching wireless broadcast channel. The sound processor then provides auditory stimulation to the recipient based on the selected broadcast channel.
WIRELESS AUDIO OUTPUT DEVICE FOR OUTPUTTING AUDIO CONTENT, AND METHOD THEREFOR
One embodiment of the present disclosure provides a wireless audio output device for outputting audio content, comprising: an audio output unit; a communication unit for receiving audio broadcast signals; and a processor for generating a broadcast channel list including one or more output candidate channels from among received broadcast channels corresponding to the audio broadcast signals, outputting the broadcast channel list through the audio output unit, selecting one output channel from the broadcast channel list on the basis of a user input, and outputting audio content corresponding to the output channel through the audio output unit.

RECEIVING APPARATUS AND DATA DECOMPRESSION METHOD
A receiving apparatus includes: a packet type determination unit that determines whether or not a TLV packet includes a compressed IP packet; a context information determination unit that determines a context identifier and a context identification header type of the TLV packet determined to include the compressed IP packet; a CID-header storage unit that stores a source IP address assigned to the context identifier; a fixed header information storage unit that stores fixed header information in conformance with an operation specification of a broadcast wave; and a header restoring unit that generates a restored IP packet by decompressing the compressed data in accordance with the TLV packet determined to include the compressed IP packet, the source IP address acquired from the CID-header information storage unit on the basis of the context identifier, and the fixed header information acquired from the fixed header information storage unit.
Module for generating options for radio signals reception
A module for generating signal-reception options, the module being configured to receive at least one signal transmitted by at least one antenna; the generating module including at least one group of mixers and at least one input module; the at least one group of mixers including a number Y of mixers in which Y is an integer equal to or higher than 1; the at least one input module being coupled to the at least one group of mixers and configured to deliver a number Z of reception options available to receive the at least one signal, the number Z being determined depending at least on the number Y and/or on a number of types of signals received by the at least one group of mixers.
System, apparatus and method for hardware and software support of radio functionality
In one example, a system includes: a circuit board; at least one tuner adapted on the circuit board to receive and process a radio frequency (RF) signal to output a downconverted modulated signal; a processor adapted on the circuit board to demodulate the downconverted modulated signal, process the demodulated downconverted signal and output an audio signal; a location on the circuit board to receive a demodulator circuit; and a shunt element adapted on the circuit board to direct the downconverted modulated signal from the at least one tuner to the processor when the system does not include the demodulator circuit.
DEVICES, METHODS, AND USER INTERFACES FOR FACILITATING TIME-SHIFTED BROADCAST PROGRAM RECORDING AND PLAYBACK
Recorded broadcast programs, including advertisements, are selected for playback responsive to user input. The user input may include pressing a button multiple times to cause recorded programs to be scanned through for a particular preset channel from newest recorded to oldest recorded. Pressing another button multiple times causes the recorded programs to be scanned through for the particular present channel from oldest recorded to newest recorded.
